• The cowardly Pokmon Helioptile, a Normal- and Electric-type Pokmon, can generate enough electricity through sunbathing to power machinery. But wise Trainers won't be deterred by Helioptile's lack of bravery. It knows Parabolic Charge, a brand-new move where Helioptile attacks everything around it. Helioptile's HP is restored by half the damage taken by those hit.
• Fletchling, a Normal- and Flying-type Pokmon, sings with a beautiful chirp that is sure to delight any Trainer. Although it is known to be very friendly, Fletchling will suddenly unleash relentless attacks once it's in battle. For example, when it uses its Fire-type move Flame Charge in battle, in addition to doing damage, Fletchling's Speed increases every time.
• With a leaf always in its mouth and an intimidating glare that is rarely effective, Fighting-type Pokmon Pancham shows its playful side when it lets out a little smile when its head is pat. Pancham can learn a brand-new move, Parting Shot, which not only lowers an opponent's Attack and Special Attack, but also allows Pancham to switch out for another Pokmon in a Trainer's party during battle.
• Pokmon X and Pokmon Y introduce a new method of transportation-riding the brand-new Pokmon, Gogoat. This large Grass-type Pokmon is a reliable way to travel certain parts of Lumiose City. In battle, it can use Horn Leech to recover HP equal to half the damage dealt by this move.

Welcome to the Kalos region Pokmon Y challenges players to visit the mysterious Kalos region, a strange land that will allow you to take your very first steps into the next evolution of Pokmon, with the chance to choose between three brand new starter Pokmon! Home to beautiful skies and forests, the Kalos region is full of interesting places to visit and explore. The central city of the Kalos region is Lumiose City, a thriving metropolis filled with customers checking out its variety of shops. Many roads extend from the iconic tower at the city's centre. After leaving Vaniville Town, the first populated location you'll visit is Santalune City. It's a lovely city, easily identifiable by the large fountain at the centre of town. It's also home to the Santalune City Gym. Your quest to become the Champion RPG fans will no doubt love the style of play Pokmon Y offers, which sees you start off with Grass-type Chespin, Fire-type Fennekin, or Water-type Froakie before really starting your epic adventure
