This ring is a placeholder until my husband and I decide what to do with my original engagement ring that is somewhat similar to this. We paid $450 for the original and it needs $300 in repairs, our 25th is cioming up next year and my husband says just wait and get a new one. But I am emotionally attached to the original. So anyway, I just received it today so I will update later on durability. I bought a size 6, which is what my other ring is, but it's a bit tight over my knuckle. Still once it's on, it's fine. It's really a pretty ring but if you look at the facets of the blue stone, it looks more like a bead, than a stone. I didn't notice that in the picture when I ordered it, but it actually resembles a soccer ball with lots of octagons instead of a "cut" gemstone. So to me, anyone really looking at it, is going to be able to tell it's not real. However, the clear stones sparkle beautifully and the metal also looks quite nice. The only other thing I dislike is that it doesn't sit right against my band, because the setting juts out around the center stone. But for now, it's a similar size and setting for my engagement ring so I don't freak out everytime I look at my hand. This ring is pretty and not too dainty. The band is thin and comfortable. The stone is a dark navy blue, but not like a sapphire, the blue isn't dark enough. I like it a lot. I think it looks fine; whether you’re worried about if it looks “real” or not. It doesn’t really matter to me, it’s beautiful. The clasps that the main gem and four larger accent gems sit in are very grabby so you may find a few fibers or loose stands from time to time but other than that I love this ring and I would highly recommend buying it. ... show more

This was a very nice ring. Good quality. Boxed very nicely, with an additional velvet bag - which could be great for gifting. The sapphire was slightly lighter in color than I wanted. I chose not to keep because of the high setting. The sapphire sat a little too high for my personal taste, and additionally I was afraid I would scratch my newborn with it.
