Like many, I had to grind off a bit on the ends of the jaws in order to fit them around the drive wheel of a Ford 3V engine, but I was already expecting that before I purchased this. I used this puller to remove the crank damper on a Ford 3.5L ecoboost with a three spoke design. The fingers don't have the exact bend at the tip to match the Ford three spoke design, but, it did the job regardless. If you plan to use it on engines other that it's design intention then you could touch up the shape with a grinder or file. Used the puller once. Heard a snap as I was extracting the damper. Removed the puller and saw the extraction bar was bent. Sent the picture to Orion and asked for a replacement of the bar, not even the whole set. Their response was "Even though we would love to help you solve the problem, we are unable to do so because we cannot inspect it in person." I will return the entire set and never buy another Orion tool. Modified: Following day a representative from Orion contacted me. They are refunding the cost of the tool without a return. The puller itself is useable and I will create appropriate extension bars that will not bend. I hope they modify their customer service responses and I am willing to give them a try again in the future. ... show more

    • Tool broke the first time it was used
Was trying to remove the harmonic balancer off the F-150 and the two seized up broke the first time it was used had to go and rent another one from the auto parts store

Main bolt seized while removing damper, now I have tension on damper and bolt will not move, took 45 minutes to beat it off damper
