    • Nice set, but too light weight
They seem okay but I'm used to heavier sets. The heavier drive discs help transfer the energy necessary for driving the seal or race home. This means you don't have to hit as hard with the hammer. Aluminum just isn't right for this application in my opinion. It did work to drive the seals into the new hub/rotor assembly for my 2000 Ford Ranger, but due to the light weight aluminum both seals went crooked even after several tries. It took awhile and a lot of repositioning around the edges with the tool but they did go in. Weight helps drive objects into place, and these don't have it. They are a nice looking set though, I'll give them that. The good: Nice looking set. very attractive. Nice Carrying Case. Shuts tight. Will work, just takes awhile. The Bad: Just not heavy enough in my opinion. As others have pointed out- Most likely wouldn't hold up in every day heavy use. Other thoughts: They're still better than trying to beat a seal into submission with just a hammer. I haven't used them yet for bearing races since the new hubs came with the races installed. But in my case, I wish I had opted for a heavier alloy steel set. ... show more

bought for an rv bearing/race job as it IS needed, u only use 2 and the rest will stay in new in the plastic box discs are very thin but they do the job if the sizes u need are included since they are mm, the striker rod get pretty beat up from the hammer so if anything that would be the part that needs replacing if this tool was used often? otherwise a good buy ... show more

This is a handy tool to have, the only downside is the aluminum these are made out of is easy to mar and scratch up if not careful, I foresee myself having to buy another sometime down the road as I find myself using it more and more recently.

The nub/bolt head is just fine, I didn't realize it was a multi-piece handle. But, now I see that there is no pilot to keep the driver face centered in the seal; I've ruined a couple seals already by using a socket, that's why I bought this. I found that I can use a 50mm disc stacked on the 65 mm one to keep the seal/driver concentric. Had to devise a bushing and get a longer bolt, but it should work. ... show more

Good kit, no real dislikes, saw people complaining that the metal was soft.. yeah maybe but I pounded on mine pretty hard with no deformation so.. (98 gold rear drum bearings) I’d probably buy again
