I bought this untried and it worked out. I have worn L'air du Temp since my 20's (even though it was considered an old fashioned scent back in the 80's) So when I saw that this had white musk and patchouli as its base I jumped on it. First off this is a heavier scent and it has terrific staying power. I don't smell the patchouli at all, it blends so well. It might not be considered a scent for a younger person and I'd say it's a winter scent. I wouldn't let that stop you though. It has 2 kinds of roses for its middle notes and pear and bergamot for its top notes. I can't pick out any of these scents, it is that well balanced. For my wear: I use one spritz of this near my neck then spray the L'air du Temp over it and elsewhere. I love it ... show more
