  • Perfect for the gigging drummer
Color: Black
I had long been one of those guys who schleps his drums with no cases. My drums were old and lived-in already, so it felt like a waste of time and money. Then I picked up a brand new kit. I wanted cases for the toms (I had a bass drum bag already), but buying the bags separately was going to cost an arm and a leg. Enter this Protec multi-drum bag. My wife and I unboxed it and were immediately pleased by the sturdy construction, thick padding, and attention to detail. The bag has plenty of skid protection on the underside and bottom, has feet on the tail end so the bag can be safely stood up, and handles everywhere. The bag ate my 16x14, 14x12 and 12x9 toms with no issues and even came with plenty of dividers to keep the rims from clacking. The floor tom legs went in the huge side pockets. Once zipped, the outer cinch straps keep everything from shifting in transit. My load-in and loadout were almost fun. The fully loaded bag isn't quite heavy, although it is a bit awkward to place into the car. But taking all my drums from car to stage in basically two trips was a great experience. Even tired and worn out at the end of a three-hour gig, it was no issue to repack the drums and make the bag work correctly. My only caveat is that I drive a big honking station wagon where the seats fold down, making this bag an easy option for me. If you have a sedan or other not-cargo-optimized car, an all-in-one solution like this might be challenging to fit in your vehicle. Otherwise, highly recommended. ... show more

  • Perfect for Ludwig Breakbeats Questlove kit
Color: Black
I own a lot of Gator bags for my main drum kit and they have kept it nice for over 10 years, even with a lot of gigging. So when I bought this Ludwig Breakbeats Questlove set, I went looking for Gator drum bags. But since they don’t have a set of bags this size, I would have to buy them individually, which was cost prohibitive. So, when I found this case I figured I would give it a chance. It works perfect! You can fit the bass drum, snare drum, floor tom and drum throne seat in the bag. Along with the floor tom legs and stick bag in the side pockets. I purchased a Gator 10x8 Tom bag, cymbal bag and hardware bag to finish out the ensemble. You won’t be disappointed! ... show more

  • Good design!
Color: Black
What I love about this bag is that 4 pieces of my drum set fits in one single bag (I have a 6 piece Yamaha set). I throw the whole bag into my car trunk ( Hyundai Elantra Sedan 2009). However, sometimes this comes whit downsides. For example the stability is compromise when putting hardware on the side pockets. Your have to balance the weight adding more stuff to the opposite pocket. If you finally do so, when you roll it starts to sway until you have to stop before flips over. Also, the wheels can be taller and/or stronger. A reinforcement on the base with some kind of a plate would make it stronger. Mine is starting to show some wear and tear on the base between the wheels. In general is a well designed and sturdy bag but not perfect. ... show more

  • Didn’t know that I needed this.
Color: Black
I have the typical separate soft individual drum cases for my toms. But this combo bag makes traveling with drums so much better. Wheels makes Gigging life so much more easier. But my favorite part is a compartment, right on board, for the floor tom legs. Sounds stupid, but other wise you have got to keep track of what other case you put them in. (I have multiple kits with different sized legs for their specific drum.) ... show more

  • Makes Transportation Easy
Color: Black
I use this case for my 16"×16" floor tom, 12"×8" and 10"×7" rack toms, and my 14"×5.5" snare (inside of its own Protec Heavy Ready case) with the 2 round dividers and the 1 double parallelogram divider between each of the drums along with the Evans Drum Mutes (10/12/14/16) for additional protection on the heads. It all fits without forcing anything into the case and rolls with ease. I carry the legs for the floor tom along with a few other smaller items (Hi-Hat stem with clutch and kick pedal beater), and I have plenty of room if I need to add additional accessories if needed. I can actually roll this case and my hardware case at once and can carry my cymbal case (like a backpack), bass case (on my shoulder), and stick bag on my other shoulder and make one trip with my entire kit if so desired. Very convenient for me. ... show more

  • Exactly What I Needed
Color: Black
I constructed a "mini-kit" a few years back that I use for small, acoustic gigs or for club shows where space is a huge concern. 16" kick, 8", 10", 13" toms with a 12" snare. I can easily put the kick and all of the toms in this bag. I use a carabiner to attach the snare case to the outside of the multi bag. It wasn't pictured, but the bag comes with not only 2 round separators, but a trapazoid-shaped one I use for the smaller toms. The side pockets are pretty big. I can put the snare stand (in its full length with just legs and basket folded up) in one and cymbal stands in the other. The construction of this bag is pretty great. It's stiff enough to stand up on its own, even empty. The padding is a lot thicker than I expected at this price point. The wheels are rugged and roll easily. The feet (when you stand it up) are very thick and sturdy. This is exceeding my expectations for my purposes. If I didn't already have some high end cases for my regular-sized toms for my other kits, I'd buy this for them. Well done Protec. ... show more
