I have owned my Zip Navigator for a year now. I use it at least 4 days a week, and according to the odometer, I've got nearly 400 miles on it. It has performed well and I've only tipped it over twice. Both times were on me. I tried to climb a steep hill and didn't keep a hand on it. My bad. BUT, (you knew there would be a but) about a month ago, the pushbutton that locks the wheel onto the axle on one of the wheels, broke. OK, no big deal. I ordered a new wheel. $77, a little steep, but whatever. Today, the other one broke. So I got out my Owners manual and lo and behold, I'm still under warranty. So I called MGI in Cali and explained my issue to the nice young lady in Customer Service. She was very sympathetic, but informed me that since it wasn't a manufacturing defect, no warranty. How could it not be a manufacturing defect, I asked. Are these designed to break after a certain period of time ? No, she answered. It's just not a manufacturing defect, so no warranty. Thanks for calling. So, again, it's a great little buggy, but be prepared to replace parts as you go along. ... show more

First off I don’t know how many golfers I talked too about their electric carts. Every person that had an MGI loved it and the other brands didn’t get rave reviews at our course. I bit the bullet and bought. I wish I had purchased this 3 years ago during Covid! It’s easy to use, the cart barn loves that it folds up for storage, and the battery is super easy to disconnect to bring home to charge. I did order the sand bottle but you do need the bar extender from the seat to attach it so I’ll just order a clip bottle for the cart. It is worth every penny! I can’t say enough good things! I’ve done 4 rounds of 18 and the battery was still fully charged. ... show more

I have now played over 20 rounds with my Zip Navigator and it definitely meets my expectations. I purchased this device because I like to walk the course but pushing a golf cart was often difficult on warmer days or when the rough was high. It is easy to set up, including attaching the battery, although a bit heavy lifting up into the cargo area of my SUV after it is folded. The assembly of the cart was easy and it seems well designed. It moves along smoothly on the course, but navigating hills or side hills is problematic using the remote. I think this is partly due to a lack of weight in the front end and the fact that typically the weight of the golf bag is at the top where the heads of the clubs are. It is for this reason that I rated it a 4 rather than a 5. During my early learning it would tip over if I went too fast using the remote on a side hill, going too fast up a hill, or on places where there were “pot holes” in the fairway or rough. In those cases the front wheels would come up off the ground and even though I had the 5th wheel set up the cart would tip either backwards or sideways spilling out the clubs, balls, etc. I have found that the remote is not as useful as I had thought it would be and have recently just walked behind the cart holding onto the handles and adjusting the speed manually. I find that if I set the speed at 5 I can walk along at a brisk pace, even having the cart give me an assist moving along. Lightly holding the handles has eliminated the problems with the cart tipping over. At speeds above 5, I would have to use the remote since I can’t keep up – not sure why I would need to use those speeds anyway since I eventually have to catch up with the cart. The remote is useful for sending the cart to the next tee but then I have to remember to take my headcovers with me otherwise they can fall off. I would not use the remote in crossing bridges or on gravel paths since the risk of tipping over is too great. This is not a problem, just advice for others. All-in-all I'm happy with the Zip Navigator. ... show more

    • Easy to Store, Charge and Use

The MGI design is better than any I have used in the past. The battery was easy to add and remove and the folding of the unit was simple and smooth. We have many steep hills and the MGI navigated them well. I stay close to the cart on the hills and use the non remote method and it is more manageable than others I have owned prior. I fully recommend the MGI ZIP Navigator for walking golfers! ... show more

Great product except: 1- it doesn't reverse in a straight line. It almost goes in a 40 degree 2-the seat doesn't reach the ground. About 1-2 inches short 3-Customer support sucks. I reported the seat issue over a month ago and I'm still waiting for a response even though they were quick in acknowledging my request and promising to call me within one business day. It's unfortunate that the product is good but the service is horrible. That would be a reason I may not buy from this manufacturer again. ... show more
