I think the colors are true to the pictures (at least on my computer screen). I'm 5'-5" ish, 155lbs and a 34B. The medium fits just a tiny bit loose, but I think the small would be too tight. If you like skin tight, and are right on the line, I'd order the smaller size. If you like a little room to breath, go with the larger. I have fairly curvy hips (and a bit of a tummy right now), and I think this dress smooths both out a bit. I'm 5'2" and 115 pounds and the small fits just right IN THE PLUM COLOR. The lace comes to my knees but not below. I bought the "plumb" color and it is not nearly as dark and rich as the picture which disappointed me a bit. Still, it's a pretty mauve color that I am willing to wear. But when I ordered the same size in BLACK, the dress was too tight. The fabric seems much more clinging and stretchy -- the zipper was buckling up in the back because it was so tight. So, I'm going to return the small black for a medium. I'll update if that works. ... show more

I love the fit everywhere except for the mid/upper back area. It bunches up a bit there and looks a bit odd/awkward. Everywhere else is nice and flattering. I just love this dress. I was concerned about the lace but it is soft against my skin. The length of the dress comes just about my knees. This dress fits TTS, moves with your body, and shows your shape without feeling clingy. It is a great length to show some leg, but doesn't work it's way up to be revealing at all. There is a comfortable amount of stretch. I put it on before a three hour drive to the wedding and I was comfortable. I wore this dress for a totally of 11 hours. I sat in the car, I walked around a wedding venue visiting, repeatedly sat and stood up throughout a wedding and dinner, and even danced to several fun songs.
