These are the most beautiful cards I've ever seen. I don't know about the durability yet and they are a little bit hard to see contrast-wise so you have to use them in bright light but that's ok with me. I will be getting more as a back up. Absolutely beautiful.

I now have all three decks in the Medieval series and I am very happy! This Stone deck is very nice. The cards are black with bright red pips, and gray pips. Bright red! It pops off the card. Each court is done in gray, like stone. The courts are the same "characters" in all three decks, but are each illustrated differently to go along with the theme of the deck. If you are thinking of getting this series- stop thinking, and do it. Excellent sellers and shipping was fast and no damage to the package. The red on the other deck, which I think is "silver" id darker, and kinda royal I'd say. The cards are more ivory in color and kinda look like a parchment paper (not quite sure how else to describe it.) The courts look more like drawings, like a pencil sketch. ... show more

So I'm not going to sugar coat it with a story or whatever of me and my friends playing poker and all that stuff. I'll just get right down to it: Pros: Great feal to the deck, it feels like a more expenisve deck withput actually being too expensive Very snappy, it didn't feel cheap or flimsy and has a nice snap to the form of the card. Beuatiful designs, I adore the red accents in the black/grey tone. It really gives it that Medieval feel to it Cons: I feel like the packaging could be nicer, maybe something around the deck to protect it better. (Mine wasnt damaged at all bit I noticed that it just came in the regular Amazon bag and nothing else to protect it) I feel weird for saying this but it smells weird. Kinda like the smell of old paper in a book that hasn't been opened in decades. That could be a con or a pro depending on wether you think that fits with the medieval style or not. Personally its pretty strong so I just gotta let it air out a bit. Shipping seemed a bit much to me, but it wasn't the worst. Overall, a great deck. I grew up in Italy, where they don't have a "Bicycle card mentality". Cards there are more expressive and diverse. I loved the vibrant colors and the ideas they had. I find the Elephant Medieval playing cards reminded me so much of those beautiful cards of my youth. They are a work of art, each one, and you will not tire of admiring the designs and art on each of them. I find them to be very serviceable for card play. They feel great, and sized very well. They are smooth enough to allow for any card game and durable enough to hold up for quite a long time. I simply love this deck and will be getting more of the same in the future. I like some of the other shades offered. This will not be my last purchase of Elephant Playing Cards. Highly recommended. ... show more

I like these cards. I have been collecting cards for a little bit now, but almost all of my decks are made by USPCC (no complaint and I love the feel of USPCC cards) and I wanted a few decks that aren't. I thought this deck looked super cool and it was made in China so I figured I would purchase a pack as they went on sale for super inexpensive. First thing I notice is that they did feel a little more filmy or plasticky than your standard USPCC cards, but not by a ton. They did feel really good still, and not like plastic cards. They fan pretty good right out of the box and shuffle well. I do not know how long they will hold up, but I also dont plan on using them much if at all since I have tons of decks and these were purchased mainly for show. I would recommend as an inexpensive deck that looks really cool and feels really good, albeit different than your standard feel. ... show more

These are a great addition to my card collection. The finish on the cards is nice and slick. The custom artwork is amazing. The tuck box has very nice detail with a seal that resembles an old wax seal. Even better, I got an email from the owner of the company who was concerned that some shipments might have been damaged and wanted to ensure mine arrived safely. My cards arrived in perfect condition as did a second deck (Starry Night) I ordered from them a few days later. Truly appreciate the customer service that goes above and beyond. Worth the money for the deluxe gold deck! We bought these as a wedding gift for a couple we play cards with often, and they went NUTS over how cool, unique and detailed these are! It's worth the extra money - all the gold detail really gives it that "wow" factor. Even just opening the box and admiring all the detail inside & out is part of the experience. If you want a super-unique deck of cards that you can be proud to show off - look no further. I was nervous spending that much for a deck of cards....but the quality definitely lives up to the price.
