I got LASIK recently so I wanted to treat myself to some new sunglasses. I’ve never had a pair of Maui Jim’s before, but thought I’d give them a try. This will probably be my first and last pair from this brand because of how expensive they are, when I had $40 sunglasses from Fossil that were more durable. Pros: -Lightweight -Rimless frames, which are my favorite Cons: -Very fragile. I only like wearing my sunglasses in the car because I’m so afraid of dropping them, etc. I hung them from my shirt collar shortly after getting them, and they fell out when I bent over to look at something. Luckily they didn’t get scratched.

This is my 3rd pair of Maui Jims and I wanted to try the purple lens. This particular set has an extremely lightweight frame, which at times makes putting them on…..difficult. But I LOVE THEM! This pair of sunglasses is a game changer for me! Super light weight and so comfortable that you forget you have sunglasses on! They are easily adjustable so getting that perfect fit is simple. I have high cheek bones and glasses some times ride on my cheeks making them uncomfortable after a while. Not so the case with these Mui Jim Hema Rimless sunglasses. They have just the right amount of tint, not too dark or light. One day when they were hanging around my neck, I accidentally squished them between me and my truck. I saw the lens popped off of the arm. I was devastated! I thought I had broken them until upon closer inspections, I found the lens and arm could be reattached simply by popping them back together. I would highly recommend these!

I loved these sunglasses. Extremely light, tiny frames that don't have enough weight to gather momentum to move on your face. They stay put while running, biking, golfing, etc. Also no issue with pressure or discomfort from the arms, even with a hat. The issue was the lense longevity. Only lasted a year for me before the coating wore off and the lenses are cloudy. Back side of the lense more so than front, I have the blue lenses. I'm almost two years in now and they are very distorted (like wearing very dirty, greasy lenses even though they are clean) but I still use them for running and biking for the positive reasons. I've only cleaned them with water and dish soap as the Maui Jim website recommends. I replaced with a $25 pair of Shady's and they are just fine but I hate the huge frame. Overall, great fit and comfort but very disappointing lense life. If you're ok with $200 a year then you may love these.

Lenses are great, although not dark. Rated a 3 on a 1-5 scale (MJ's, not my rating) for the blue mirrors. Frames are not adjustable in any way since all is plastic. But, they are feather-weight; do not even know they're there type-of-weight. Only have had for a week, but have abused them strongly and they surprisingly were in one piece and still square after a riotous weekend. No scratches, either, but I think I just got lucky on that. Also, I have a large-ish head (one size fits all adjustable hats are not for me) and they fit very nicely. Previous MJs have been excellent glasses for me and am expecting same for these.
