I waited almost three full days before washing my hair the first time. I apply a deep conditioner to the ends and use a low heat on any styling tools. Make sure you use a heat protectant for your hair as well. I am naturally a platinum blonde and the color was spot on. They stayed in for six weeks until they grew out. To remove them I simply used olive oil. It conditioned the hair at the same time and then gently peel the two apart. I can reuse the hair again by purchasing tape replacements. I get a set of brightly colored extensions every year when I go on vacation, but this is the first time I've ever gotten this brand. Not sure about the sew in extensions. Supposed to be real human hair but they say to use low heat and towel dry. I have had lots of extensions and these dont hold any kind of curl and when you do curl with a curling iron it fries the hair even with heat protection and it still doesn't hold. So I am a newbie to hair extensions so I read up a lot before purchasing. A friend of mine had bought some real hair extensions and they looked great so I thought I would give them a try. I have healthy natural hair but was tired of waiting for it to grow out. I used to have long hair but cut it to my shoulders and it is taking a long time to grow back. My hair is ombre medium brown to a dark blonde. I was nervous when choosing the right color because sometimes products come and they look totally different due to editing or lighting differences. I was pleasantly surprised to find these extensions matched seemlessly in with my natural hair. I decided to buy both a set of 16 and 18 inch to give it a fuller natural layered look. But I could get away with just the one pack. I can style these like my regular hair, straight or curled. They feel nice and after a couple times, putting the extensions in has become easy and keeps getting easier every time. I have gotten many compliments on them. Just make sure you don't cut corners when using beauty products. I use organic sulfate free products and make sure you use a heat protectant when styling.
