So I was a little scared to purchase this after the negative reviews but I'm happy I did. The package arrived on time and in good condition. No broken or missing parts. When putting this together it's important to not tighten the screws initially. Just get them all in their place and lightly tighten them. Once you have all of the screws in then gently and gradually go through each one and tighten and you won't have the wobble issue that others mention. ( I learned this putting together the first chair) I'm happy with this purchase and will update you on the durability once I've had it for a bit. The only thing I would change is the yellowish tint to the wood and the option to remove the company logo.(sticker) ... show more

Very good idea, pretty solid chairs, but table is really bad. Legs are kinds of unstable, shaky and there are no way to tighten them well because as soon as you start doing that the plywood starts to break apart. Please, see the attached pics. I was so excited when this was delivered but when I opened the box I was so disappointed at what I saw! First of all, it wasn't in original packaging. I looked as though all its pieces had been literally thrown into a much larger box. The table top had water damage and there was all kind of cracking in the paint on three of the four sides. I didn't even take any of the contents out of the box as the items were so clearly damaged! Why would anyone send this to a customer? ... show more

    • Poor quality furniture
This table and chairs set is aesthetically pleasing and very easy to wipe clean (which is so important with a toddler), however after just over 1 year of light use the table legs and chair cross-supports are completely wobbly. Even with tightening of the bolts, they just shake loose again. We only use this table for coloring, puzzles, playing with stickers, etc. so it's not as if it's getting rough and tumble treatment. I'm extremely disappointed with the quality. Update: The quality continues to deteriorate. All legs are shaky and now the wood has started to chip on both the chair legs and table legs. ... show more

We purchased this table and chair set 5 years ago and it still has a few years of life left in it. It may out grow our boys. We've had to tighten screws maybe every other year but that is expected with all the movement this table gets. We use the table for crafts, play, homework, and eating. A good microfiber cloth and water has kept our table white and color free from markers, crayons, paint, food, and food coloring (even helps with sticker removal). One thing we did notice was the chairs are slippery for our kids to sit on. For younger children would recommend using a seat cushion that has silicone on the bottom to prevent from slippy off the chair. We have had a few instances where our kids slipped off when they didn't have both feet on the floor and we're not sitting properly. Other than adding a nonslip pad to the seat of the chair, we would recommend this table and chair set. ... show more

    • You'll need a bit more elbow grease to put this set together.
I'd have to agree with everyone else. There are certain parts of this set that are not flush as far as pre-drilled holes go for the screws. I still really like the way this table set looks, and I was able to put this together by myself....for the most part, but needed someone to go back and man handle the screws that wouldn't go in all the way because of the fact that they weren't aligned properly. It's not really noticeable, but it made putting this together a little bit more of a hassle. If it wasn't for the slightly off alignment I probably would've rated this product 5 stars. Regardless, I would actually still recommend this product if someone strong is able to help you....if not you may end up having screws sticking out which would definitely be a safety hazard for your child. UPDATE: So it's been a few months now that my daughters' had this table set. It's not fairing so well, in fact the table and chairs wobble now. I've tried to remedy this problem by simply tightening the screws and what not, but it did nothing. On top of that a few weeks ago a piece of wood snapped off underneath one of the chairs. Thus, I'll be changing my rating of this product from 4 stars to 3. With the wear and tear that it's already going through now it's probably not even going to make it through the year. If you have money to callously throw away, then by all means purchase this table. Sure it may look nice, but you should consider other options before making this purchase. ... show more

    • Poor Quality for the Price
Chairs are wobbly due to differing leg lengths. Package came with fastener package opened all all bolts strewn about the inside of the box. One leg came damaged with a small dent on the outside surface. Wood is made from layers of very thin, light wood veneer. Extremely fragile and will crack if nuts are torqued tighter than finger tight, or a quarter turn past finger tight. If your toddlers are little tornados of destruction like ours are, I don’t foresee this item withstanding the mayhem for very long. ... show more

High quality. This set is a bit expensive but it is worth every penny. We originally bought a table with two chairs from ikea that cost about $35 and one of the chairs broke after one month of use. We had to throw away the ikea set only after a couple months of use. It's been almost two year since we bought KidKraft for our son. It is still in the same shape we bought. Very sturdy. Now, my daughter is using it too. It's covered in many stickers, but there is no a single scratch. The manufacturers might have used scratch resistant materials. The kids eat their meals at this table and drew on it with every crayon, pen, highlighter, paint we have, but it is very easy to clean and the surface is still white and in the same condition we bought.
