Once the build process is complete, the finished product is as indicated in the product photographs. The build process, however, is a bit of a nightmare. First, be aware that this bed comes flat packed in three large boxes. The instructions also indicate you’ll need only a screwdriver - that was a lie. You will absolutely destroy your hands if you try to tighten all of the hex screws with the Allen wrench/hex key that is provided, so a screwdriver with a 5/32 hex bit is a lifesaver. You’ll also need a drill for a lot of the portions that have screws as there are several steps where you’re drilling your own holes as none are provided for you. Don’t even think about attempting this build by yourself, and two people may not even be enough to make sure the frame is stable while you attempt to thread screws in where they belong! Glad I won’t be going through this build again! (P.S. - You’ll probably want to add a bit more structure to the frame to stabilize it more!) ... show more

Assembly was hard to put together. Definitely takes 2 people. There were many instances where boards split or looked damaged during assembly, even when bolts/screws weren’t fully tightened. Many parts were numbered wrong and you just had to figure it out on your own. Took like 7 hours to assemble, using power tools rather than the tiny wrench they provided. ... show more

We bought this despite the all the negative reviews because our daughter loved the look of it. Unfortunately we experienced the same things as others. The quality of the product is extremely poor; I’m not convinced this will last a month. The assembly instructions were not included in our shipment. Luckily we were able to source a PDF of them from the seller—not really sure it helped, they were terribly written and the illustrations were inconsistent from page to page. Probably the worst assembly of furniture we’ve ever encountered. Can’t say one positive thing about the item itself or the process to assemble. DO NOT BUY THIS! ... show more

My daughter and I loved the storage and space this bed looked to provide. However, the wood is very cheap quality. Two pieces came cracked already. It was missing one piece altogether! The holes don’t line up with where they’re supposed to be when putting it together. I saw others mention this in their reviews, and completely agree! We ordered this for our daughter and it took us 2 1/2 days to put together. Mind you, my husband is a general contractor…we thought it would be simple but we were wrong. The holes wouldn’t line up half the time, there were chucks missing out of the pieces, I would say a 1/4 of the parts weren’t numbered and the instructions needs more detail with orientation and such because playing a guessing game is not a good time when you are building something that came in 3 boxes with 60 steps and over 100 pieces. This is total crap. Wood dowels push through. Had to cut pieces to make them fit!! Do not waste your money. 5 hours in on step 9 of 40. Directions are wrong and had to take steps 1 and 2 back apart.

The product states that it can hold up to 400lbs, my daughter is well under 200lbs and the bench snapped under her. She has only had the bed for about two months. The design for the benches are not good, there is no support in the middle.
