The long handle allows you to set this pot in the coals of your campfire and boil water for your morning coffee while doing other things. Just set it and forget it. 2 things I didn't like: 1) There was no lid. It would've been nice to have a form fitting lid to protect the contents from debris falling into it. (2) It's a tad bit heavy for packing it up the trail but it's benefits outweigh the inconvenience. This one will stay with me for a long time. ... show more

It is just as pictured but it's really big I was hoping to find a smaller sized one and I didn't notice or cared to check I just assumed it was small to medium-ish sized, that is a mistake on my part but I honestly think it is very big and not very practical for my kitchen I was not expecting to get this size so now I don't have a place to store it also I don't like how heavy it is, makes it very difficult to move around and in my opinion difficult since it does heat up I'm not sure I'd like to get burnt with this... hopefully it will never fall on my feet. No I would not buy this again, check the sizing before buying, I still have to use it though so I will update after I use it and see how it works I don't think it's completely fair to say this before I use it as well but now I am even scared to use it too, cause at the same time I'd say it's a potential hazard with the handle and all and that size imagine it just slipping out of your hands while you pour it. ... show more

Holds about 15 lbs before it gets unwieldy. A skillet handle cover buys a few more seconds before the welding gloves get too hot.
