I've tried a lot of shoes, and these are simply my favorite business casual shoes, and they can double as perfect shoes for a suit too. They are immediately comfortable, and also very durable. I wore my previous pairs so often that I'm thinking this time I'll keep 2 pairs in each color (Brown & Black), one for day to day wear, and one for dressy events where you want the shoes to look new. I purchased a pair of these shoes in a hush puppy store in a tourist town and found that they were very comfortable to wear, in fact, since I bought them, they became my everyday shoe for five years... The stitching along the side of the shoe wore out and I had to have them re-sewn at a shoe repair shop after Five years of continual usage... They're well worth the cost and lasted for so long... I found these shoes on Amazon, bought another pair and going to store them until the soles of the first pair finally wear out.... Great Quality Shoe... Very well worth the money....Plus, I'm still wearing the original pair I bought five years ago and they're still comfortable... finding a shoe in extra wide width is hard to find. ... show more

These shoes were a perfect fit, and are extremely comfortable. There's not much more that can be said, as a rousing testimonial in favor of a pair of shoes, but I'll go ahead and say some more anyway. The black is still as black today as it was the day I opened the box, the shoe is not cracking anywhere, the sole is holding up quite nicely, etc. I would recommend an insert but I recommend that for any shoe for those for whom the words orthopaedics and podiatry are not far from lexicon of daily use, although the shoe can hold its own quite nicely even without an insert. The Hush Puppies brand is unobtrusive, unassuming, and even bland...but in a good way. As Al Pacino's character commented in the movie Devil's Advocate, "never let 'em see you coming." This shoe will help you be unassuming yet comfortable, stylish yet not over the top. If your goal is to flaunt fashion, you may want to go elsewhere. For me, this shoe is perfect.     • Very Comfortable Shoe for office work.
I liked this shoe because it is very comfortable to wear and not too bad for walking in - which is what I wanted. I also like it because it looks very smart and is well made and is a well trusted brand. For walking in it does not have as flexible a sole as my other purchase being a Prophet Men's Galway shoe (heavenly on feet) but for my office job it is very smart looking and I think the sole will last longer. ... show more

Owned 1st pair about 3 years, periodically replacing the insert with a decent quality insole. The shoes remained comfortable with about 1.5 miles of walking a day around work. Exterior remained in very good shape as well. I've just replaced my first pair to regain some of inevitable loss in cushioning. Immediately wore them for 2 weeks of walking around European cities (5-6 miles/ day). Extremely comfortable and durable. Oh, and I have early arthritis in the balls of my feet...so cushioning is key. I had not been able to find Hush Puppies for a long time in stores and had begun to think they were no longer in business. And then, ta-da! Amazon has them on their Web site. The shoes arrived promptly and were safely packed. I tried them on right away and again remembered how good that brand of shoes felt on my feet. I’m an open toed shoes kind of person so when work told me I needed closed toed shoes, I went for cute, simple and comfy. These are all of that. They’re cute, fitting well and I can walk in them for a long time, which is important. I’d recommend them.

These are the perfect shoes for my hubby’s wide feet. He is a sales manager at a Toyota dealership… and these keep his hurty feet happy all day long. He’s been wearing this same brand & style shoe for a few years now.
