This unit is the perfect addition to a small bedroom or, in our case, playroom. It takes up little space, but has convenient cubbies for storage. For the price, this is a great find! It is important to note that the cubbies are much deeper than they are wide, so I haven’t found any baskets that fit it well yet. The cushion isn’t the most padded (about an inch of foam), but I do plan to replace the cushion soon. Assembly was a bit of a pain (about 1.5 hours doing it solo) and the order the directions had you go really required a lot of floor space at a time (ie. Install/prep all of screw A in all 7 boards before moving on to attaching any boards together or screw B). If you have a very small space to work in, I recommend assembling it elsewhere and then moving it in place. Other reviewers noted a strong chemical smell. We did not have that issue. Not sure if we were just lucky or if they’ve since solved that issue. All in all, it is a simple and cute solution to a small space. For us, it fit perfectly under a window as a window bench/toy and book storage ... show more

This book shelf looks exactly like the picture! But it is a bit light (if a kid would be to climb on it) so make sure you secure it to the wall. Building it was pretty straightforward! But does take some time. The chemical smell is very strong. I laid the pieces out before putting it together for about 3 weeks to get some of the smell off, and it still smells a bit (I have seen a few reviews about the smell) ... show more

The quality is pretty good, white Color is always nice. Perfect size for my 6yo daughter. My only issue is the assembly 😒 good lord it took me about 2 hours to put it together.!! There’s gotta be a faster way to do it. I’ll still give 5 star review.

I purchased this for my 8 year to update her room. She loves to read and needed some extra storage. The shipping time was good. The box was damaged but nothing inside was. But that's not the companys fault. The instructions aren't the easiest to understand but if you put furniture together with those screw bolt twist things you can do this one. Just pay attention to the pictures cause there are no written instructions. All the pieces were labeled and holes were drilled in the right spots. I did put together myself and it took about an hour or so. I am very happy with how sturdy it is. Ive moved it around quite a bit because it was a birthday present and I was trying to keep it hid from her and it has held up great to moving it all around and storing on its side for a little bit. The cushion does slip off when she is moving around a lot but some grip tape can fix that. ... show more

When I saw that this holds up to 350 lbs I expected this to be made a lot stronger than it is. It's mostly thin particle board and I'll be shocked if it lasts, not sturdy at all so we will be attaching it to the wall. When we opened it some of the laminate was already peeling off, just not really impressed with the quality at all ... show more
