I have NOT worn this in water yet. -The top--I followed the advice I read in reviews and ordered a size up(XL). It's a little bit too big, more like a loose T-shirt around my waist, but I prefer that to having it too small. The top is very comfortable, but there is absolutely no support (which I need!) The pads ARE definitely in a weird spot--off to the sides rather than where they would be helpful. I'm going to order some sort of bra to wear with it. I wouldn't wear this swimsuit without one. The fabric feels nice, and it's pretty--blue paisley. -The bottoms--they must run skimpy as others have said because these fit me well. I'm smaller in bottoms(Med) and wear larger tops(L-XL). I went up a size for the top, and these larger bottoms fit well with just a tiny bit of looseness around one leg. My normal size in bottoms would have been too small. -There is no tummy control in either the top or the bottom. -The packaging was weird--a frosted ziploc type bag with the address label stuck on. Anyone could have opened my package along the way. UPDATE: I was able to remove the padding from the shelf liner in the top. The top looks great with the black swim bra that I purchased separately. I've had trouble finding tankini tops that don't look matronly. Usually they are too loose or have too much ruching. This was form fitting and attractive. Amazon suggested a medium but I ordered small based on the size chart in the listing and it fit perfectly. I am 5'4", 125 lbs, small chest. The length hit about mid hip on me, which I like. The bottoms are just okay, but they do offer full coverage and you can't really see them anyway. I might buy the top in other patterns and just use other bottoms. I wore this in the ocean and pool and didn't notice any fading. Great top for the price. Wish they'd make one with full back coverage too, as my goal is to really keep sun off my chest and back. ... show more

Really love this suit, especially the top. I'm 5'10" approx. 145 lbs and have a long torso and purchased a large. The fit is very comfortable. Wish I could have bought large bottoms and medium top because Im not large up top, but honestly I feel very comfortable and not as self conscious in this suit as I have in others. The top allows me to bend and be as physically active as I wish without worrying about flashing anyone. If I had a complaint, I would wish the bottoms were a bit bigger along the butt line :) but overall this is a great suit, especially for having to buy without trying on first. ... show more

I kept this suit because ultimately, I do like it, but it's not the best choice for someone like me, who stands only 5'2" tall. I love the cut of the top, and how it makes my shoulders look, but was way too long on me, and I ended up shortening it by about 5 inches for a more flattering fit. The other issue I had is with the bottoms... I like the polka dots, and how the bottoms look from the front. But I don't like how cheeky they are. I ended up buying a separate pair of plain black bottoms with full rear coverage. (Would have liked to have had those polka dots, though!) ... show more

Being 50, I wanted a swim too that was modest, yet flattering. This was perfect! I bought 3 different colors for our cruise. Very functional so I didn’t worry about anything falling out. Would highly recommend!

It fit well but I didn't like the look on me. It's more about me and not the product. It got the job done. I love how the panty aspect of it fit well. It tacked in my stomach and I love it. The bra also had a great support. I don't think you'd regret it if you bought one.
