Recommended by My Podiatrist - Comfortable & Supportive
The podiatrist recommended Hoka One One shoes during my recovery from a fractured metatarsal which he said was a repetitive stress injury. Though I'm not a runner, just an avid walker, he said that the design of the shoe, with the wide curved sole, would distribute stress more evenly across the foot, with less pressure on the ball of the foot and the toes. I am still recovering from the fracture, but the foot instantly felt more supported and less tender when I slipped into my new Hoka shoes. Most of the designs are quite colorful and loud, but I searched around until I found these which are a bit more sedate. They are light weight, and the fabric uppers makes them breathable so my feet don't get sweaty. I am wearing them daily now, and they will accompany me on an upcoming trip to Central America where we will be hiking around Mayan Ruins and walking a lot each day.

Very comfortable and cushioned
Very comfortable and cushioned. After my plantar fasciitis healed, my Ortho suggested these. He has a history of plantar fasciitis and wears them himself. I work in healthcare and am on my feet all day long. These are great and my feet are not overly tired at the end of the day.

Relieved most of my chronic pain!!!!
My foot surgeon recommended this brand of shoe. I have arthritis, plantar fasciitis, neuromas, fibromyalgia, lacking fat pads one the bottoms of my feet, and 2 ruptured tendons. Chronic pain is an understatement. But these shoes were a godsend for me. Reduced the pain about 90%. I still need inserts for high arch support. But these shoes are incredibly comfortable.

Perfect fit and comfort
I really enjoy the hoka shoes, So far this model is my favorite and I didn't think I would say that as I love the Bondi model. The shoe is true to size and comparable to other hoka models. I wear an 8 and bought an 8.5 and it fits just right. I love the color and people have commented on how much they like the color. The toe box is not too narrow for a medium width foot. My heels are actually pain free when wearing these shoes with an air plus insert. I have PF and tired feet from working 12 hour shifts in a hospital. I was afraid after wearing Bondi's for so long and not being able to find another pair in my size that I was SOL but nope these work great. I am a person that once I find something that works I stick with it so quite surprised that I am so happy with these. I think the price is too high but you wear your feet everyday so do what you can to take care of them.

Hoka One One Womens Clifton 4 Castlerock/Asphalt...Irritating to the top part of foot and my arches. . .
Hoka One One Womens Clifton 4 Castlerock/Asphalt...Size 6.5B/M, I really like these running shoes. The Fit my feet perfectly and it had great support for my regular to medium size arches that have Planter Faciitis right in the top middle of my arches, which create a lot of pain for me, if I don't have the right kind of support. Hoka One One Womens Clifton 4 Castlerock/Asphalt...had just the right kind of support my feet need, so I am giving these shoes 4 stars. More complaint and the reason why, I had to return them was that the inside of the shoe was scratchy in particular areas. The first is the tong where it is sewn with Nylon Thread irritated the top part of my foot and the inside sole where is support my arches was also scratchy. It was like wearing wool on your foot in these areas. It did not cause blistering just hot and irritating like wearing wool. My feet just could not tolerate it, the longer I wore the more irritated my feet became from these two areas. So, I return these shoes for those reasons. I know I could wear a socks. But my feet sweat, and even a thin pair socks just heat up my feet and make them sweat. So, I prefer wearing no socks in any shoe. I really just prefer going barefoot, but because my feet have Planter Faciitis in the middle of my arches, I can't do that. My feet complain. I wish they sandal running shoes, but they don't have any that fit the bill for what I need. So, It makes it difficult to find a pair of running shoes that the material inside the shoes is soft or silky like a glove. I have found one pair of running shoes that my feet agree with and that is the Brooks Glycern 14. They feel like a silk glove on your feet, BUT they do not have the responsiveness that the Hoka Clifton 4 and Hoka Arahri do. Anyway, I will keep my Brooks Glycern 14 and use those until Hoka One One comes out with a silky inside running shoe for those of us who hate to wear socks. In the mean, time I give the Hoka One One Womens Clifton 4 Castlerock/Asphalt... size 6.5 B/M 4 stars. . .For those of you who wear socks the irritation won't matter. To help others with sizing. I wear normally wear size 6.5 B/M in most shoes or sandals of any kind. The length of my foot is 9.2 inches along with the widest part of my foot being about 4 inches wide. I also have regular to medium size arches on both my feet with Planters Faciitis in the top middle of both arches. So, I do need some kind of support that is cushy and soft. I'm not sure if I have pronation of any kind. I have done the foot test with water and it doesn't look like. I usually walk on the outside of my shoes. At least that's wear the sole of my shoes usually look more woren down is on the outer side of the rubber on left shoe and right shoe. So, I hope that helps. :-)

I normally wear a 61/2 but with socks a 7 so I bought a 7 and perfect. My husband says all the time
I use these on the Treadmill, that is why I bought them. I found I wear them all the time. I will be buying another pair. At first because I go barefoot a lot and have most of my life and being 70 now, I did not realize my feet paid a price...so these shoes really hurt my arches to the heels. Let me clarify that....it was the right foot arch that with these shoes on, hurt, with shoes off No. The left foot I felt pain on the outside of my foot. It took me wearing them all the time for probably 3 weeks, before my feet didn't hurt anymore. Now they hurt when I go barefoot....I did my feet a huge favor buying shoes that corrects my steps and my lower back stopped hurting. I didn't buy low end shoes prior to these, I bought regular adverted shoes by well known makers...but the NAME on the Shoe in those cases turned out just a name with a high price tag. I still have two of those not so cheap pair of shoes...I refuse to put my feet in them and go back to the pain I had prior to these. Yes they are all that and then some. I normally wear a 61/2 but with socks a 7 so I bought a 7 and perfect. My husband says all the time, "You need another pair to wear for TreadMill only"...and I am going to do that. They are worth the price...a friend recommended them to me who had had foot surgery and she works a job on her feet ...I trusted and I am glad I did.

Love them! Like walking on clouds.
Love them! My first pair after two foot surgeries in the same foot. No pressure points and really light. Soles are nice and supportive, but super comfy. Stretching laces are nice since feet tend to swell by the end of a long day.
