These spats definitely look great and they feel great from the outside. But putting them on feels like putting on a wetsuit. And when it gets really hot and action-packed, you are actually a little bit conscious that you're wearing these, like your skin is having a harder time breathing and you feel a little bit hotter. Again, sort of like a wetsuit effect. Even if that might be a placebo effect, I have plenty of other spats I own that don't have that effect. I bought a pair of these in 2018 and they lasted me over 400 days of BJJ training, before I finally wore a hole in the knee on the right leg. When asked what I wanted for Christmas last year, I requested a couple more pairs of these and was given another brand that failed in a week. I am a loyal Hayabusa brand follower with the gear and apparel. Choosing the Geo brand compression spats was an easy choice. I have a few other pairs of spats and compression pants and the Geo pair feels the best. They provide great compression for my legs as well as preventing scrapes and burns when rolling on the mats. It is form fitting and I have tested it for a month already. The only issue is the amount of dye that bleeds out from washing several times. Other than that it’s good material.
