Call me old fashioned but for lounging around the house and doing chores or walking, I prefer sweats with the elastic legs and no pockets. The pockets are useless and the elastic legs keeps them from being too long and dragging on the ground. These Hanes sweats are a light weight...they are not a heavy cotton/poly bend. In my view, they would be suitable for spring, summer and fall but not for mid winter outdoors for any length of time. I am 6ft. and the leg length is fine because of the elastic. They run a size larger than marked in my opinion....the charts are not a good reflection of actual fit. The waist stretches out very easily and the legs and thighs are a loose fit. I would not say huge, but they have a generous cut in the legs. So if you need a bit of room in the calfs and thighs, these will give it to you. I originally went with a X Large size...first wear seemed fine but then they stretched out after a bit and felt a little baggy. I then ordered a Large and while snug at first wearing, these also stretched out. One caveat though-- I don't throw these in the dryer. I wash them in the machine and just hang them over a door or chair to dry. I've done that for years because I'm always afraid they will shrink to nothing in the dryer even with a 50/50 blend. Anyway, that aside, step down to the next size smaller than what you usually wear with sweats and you should be good. Because they are thin, I am not sure about longevity. The fit is about what I expected for large — they're a bit too long, but with cinched cuffs, it's not a major issue, I don't mind having a little extra fabric around my ankles. The fabric is soft and comfortable, but on the light side for a pair of sweatpants. One star off for making them too light and not giving any meaningful information in the description about fabric weight. Pictures aren't enough. And the POCKETS? What pockets? Right, exactly. I knocked another star off for not mentioning the absence of pockets on these pants. I'll keep this pair, but I won't be buying any more of these. ... show more

I bought these because I need some lounge sweatpants. They are an odd fit with a very long crotch. They are thinner than other brands, and they have no pockets.
