  • For the DVD not the movie
I wondered why this dvd was several dollars cheaper than another on Amazon (and others that I have purchased). It appears to be a compressed video reproduction. The picture is very pixellated and any scenes with quick movement are jerky. I have another Hallmark movie from 2010 which has the worst quality to date, but it is great next to this dvd. I watched a trailer on YouTube, and saw that the video quality is very good. I'm returning it. ... show more

  • A Sweet Story for a December Day
This is my daughter's favorite Christmas special. There are three brothers who are very close - yet very different. A lovely toy shop owner who believes in children having great experiences with books and toys A slow walking chubby dog - Olive - . A little girl who believes in fairies and Friday Island. What is not to like? There is sadness in the story - but all things work together to help. ... show more

  • A warm holiday drama
A man, who is raising his niece, moves in with two other brothers. I don't know who the actress is that plays the niece, but she does an excellent job in playing her part. Even though most the movie she doesn't talk due to the trauma of losing her mom. She is able to convey her feelings, expertly, through gestures and facial expressions. Then, yep you guessed it, there's a little romance going on. As the uncle meets a woman who is also relocating to the same town to start a new business. There are quite a few funny instances with the uncles as they adjust to living together. And there's also an adorable basset hound. I'm a dog person after all :) All in all I found this to be a heart warming holiday offering from Hallmark. It does have it's serious moments but it doesn't get too deep. ... show more

  • Engaging
This is one of my favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. It's an engaging story and the quality of the acting draws you into it. All the characters are believable and you kind of forget that you're watching people act. The chemistry between the brothers and Holly is both funny and touching. Having two older brothers and a much younger sister myself, I can appreciate that dynamic. Maggie is so adorable it's hard not to fall in love with her. She's kind of like a grown up Cindy Brady. Throw in a quirky yet lovable dog and it's all good. ... show more

  • Bad casting - looks like a 20-year old guy with a 6-year old daughter!
Young Mark (Sean Faris) lost his wife, and now his small daughter Holly (Josie Gallina) is no longer talking. And so Mark moves with her to an island house shared by his two brothers, whom I guess are supposed to be funny & charming. Meanwhile, pretty blonde Maggie (Eloise Mumford), who was left at the altar as our story begins, has also moved to that same island where Mark & his brothers live, and opened a toy store. Mark has a red-haired girlfriend named Shelby (Alex Paxton-Beesley) who doesn't particularly enjoy sharing him with his small daughter. But Maggie establishes a bond with little Holly, even getting the little girl to finally SPEAK, which in the world of Hallmark videos, is going to be a game-changer! Not a terrible video, just not very Christmas-y. ... show more

  • ANY DAY WITH HOLLY
Maggie is left at the altar and is wise enough to realize that she can finally realize her dream to open the toy store she's always wanted. She moves to Friday Harbor in Washington state to begin her new life. Also in Friday Harbor is Mark, who is the owner of the local coffee shop. Mark has been left as the guardian of his sister's daughter, Holly. Holly hasn't spoken since her mother died, and Mark does all he can to make Holly feel secure. So, he moves in with his crazy brothers who also have an impact on Holly's life. It's a charming little tale and I enjoy watching it outside of the Christmas season. It's an all season story. ... show more

  • Giving love to all
I really liked the movie. It is great family entertainment. Clean without language, sex or nudity. It shows how a young man can accept adult responsibility if he tries. How a little girl can overcome her grief through believing in the simple things of life. How a family can bond together through adversity. It's a keeper. ... show more

  • An all-a-round Heart-warming love story
What's not to like about this movie! The interaction between Uncle Mark and Holly is heart-warming. A true love of a father/daughter relationship. Mark's brothers are taken in by Holly's innocence, gentle ways about her and the way she tugs at their heart strings. Olive the dog is endearing. My husband and I AWAYS watch Christmas with Holly every Christmas season and in Christmas in July. You can't go wrong with a Hallmark movie. ... show more
