Bought this for my sons 6th birthday. The boys attending ranged 5 to 10 years old and all enjoyed. A few adults even got in on the fun. The stickies for the puff balls were a little tricky at first but we figured it out. Overall a get craft that could work at any party!

Overall: A hit with our kiddos and their friends Downfalls: For a group of 7 year olds, this project required more adult assistance than initially anticipated. We had stations set up for the kids at a birthday party, with the hope all kids would be entertained with little to no adult assistance after initial setup. Glue dots are hard to manage for small fingers, stickers tear easily & hats tear at the attachment point very easily as well. Based on previous review, I set the hats up ready to decorate. I secured each with a piece of tape just in case. As others noted, the sticky dots were really challenging and pom poms were coming off. The dots were really difficult just to get off the paper and secured to the hat. I bought two sided cellophane tape just in case and it helped a bit with other pieces- although some still fell off. Overall it was great fun for a bunch of 7-8 yr olds- lots of giggles to be heard. You could probably stretch this project a little by having sheets of stickers. I ordered 2 packs anticipating 12-15 kids. I used both for 8 kids. Consider buying 1 extra pack so you have some duplicate pieces. Kids used leftover hats to make for their parents. Six year old had tons of fun making hats for the whole family to celebrate her younger brotherā€™s birthday. Once shown the process for constructing the hats, she was able to work on her own to create and decorate one for each member of the family. She had great fun taking requests from the adults for colors and features and the adults were all happy to let a kid do all the work for one aspect of the birthday party. Everything needed was included and there was no messy glue. Clean up was as simple as just sweeping all the leftover pieces off the table into the trash! It was super easy to adjust the elastic chin straps to fit everyone from toddlers to adults. Bought this to keep my toddler and her friends busy at her bday party. It does require some parental assistance and I had to laugh because most of my adult parent friends folded these hats incorrectly the first time so really it kept us all busy but it was fun. Good thick quality paper. Would recommend stronger double sided tape though. Bought two packs for the 12 kiddos, it was nice to have extra supplies. Would buy again for a future party. ... show more

I was hoping these hats would be easier for 7-8 year olds to assemble on their own as a crafting part of my daughter's birthday party. These required more assistance than I was prepared for and the glue dots for the tops of the hats didn't work well. The stickers and tape on pieces were simple enough and cute! The strings were another struggle to get on correctly. They were a fun idea, and maybe it would have been better had I pre assembled some of pieces before letting kids at them! ... show more
