my friend recommended mochi to me, so I naturally came to amazon looking for a decently priced package and came to this. I figured that strawberry was a good start flavor wise into my Japanese cuisine start. So I ordered it on a Saturday and it came in that Monday. It did get a little overheated in my mailbox, but a few minutes in the freezer helped. Even though it did get hot, it never melted or anything like that. The texture is extremely soft and the center bit was full of flavor, and I extremely enjoy them. The best part? The outer shell is not sticky, which is something I feared! My only complaint is that there is an excessive amount of what looks and tastes like powdered sugar on the outside, and therefore makes the mochi dry in a sense, but it still tastes amazing! I would most definitely order this mochi again and will recommend it to my friends. ... show more

This is a little different than other kinds of daifuku I've had before, in that the center also has a layer of marshmallow around it, where most are just made of mochi, but it's still very good! Pair it with a nice fruity green tea and it's quite a treat! These are very very sweet, so if you're not fond of very sweet treats, bear that in mind (most mochi is less sweet than this, likely due to the marshmallow). I do recommend storing these in a ziplock, as mochi does dry out. Don't store it in the refrigerator, because that will hasten the product drying out. ... show more

These very tasty, fruity daifuku greet your mouth with a cloudy, pillow-like texture. Similar to mochi, these rice based gummy style treats are sure to please Japanophiles and sweet-tooths alike. Tenderly filled with marshmallow fluff, nestled around a strawberry gel, the delicate flavor of the mochi coat gives way to a burst of sweetness after the first bite! Honestly, I can hardly pace myself eating these, often I pop them whole into my mouth but even if I try to slow down, they usually dissapear in less than two bites. I discovered these at Disney's Japan store in Epcot and after much research determined this seller in fact uses the same distributor as Disney does. While the filling is a tad sugary, and could stand to taste a bit more natural (some may think it perfume-like in flavor) for anyone that loves squishy, soft, gummy like candies, then these Daifuku definitely hit the spot. ... show more

It's soft, cloudy-like, and squishy. Its mochi outside, a layer of marshmallow inside, and filled with a pink thing that it supposed to taste like strawberry. BUT it doesn't taste like strawberry. I wished it did. If I would describe the taste it would be like sweet and bland. However, the texture is good. My mom liked it and I kinda did too although it didn't taste like strawberry (not even artificial strawberry). ... show more

Bought these for my 13 yr old who is obsessed with trying out new and weird things and well these were new and weird but an oddly satisfyingly odd snack that made me think of a marshmallow but a chewy gummy like marshmallow...... it's kind of chalky too. It is definitely a taste and texture you have to get used to but you definitely shouldn't knock it until you try it. ... show more

YAAAAAY! They sell these at Epcot Japan pavilion and I AM OBSESSED!!! I posted a pic on a Facebook Disney page trying to find another seller for these and thank you Amazon!!! These are huge Mochi. They're super soft and mostly mochi with just a little paste in the center. The paste has a smoother texture than bean paste and a much better flavor. There's finely powdered sugar on the outside. It is a burst of flavor and delight in your mouth. I recommend putting the entire thing in your mouth when trying it for the first time. SO GOOD! ... show more

I have bought these a few times, they are so yummy! Strawberry and mandarin orange so good but the melon/Honeydew are AMAZING! they come in so fresh , love them from the freezer.
