So, I'm a minimalist. I don't carry a lot of cards or large amounts of cash or business cards or whatever. So I was always on the hunt for the "perfect" wallet. I think my search is over. This wallet is perfect for me and my needs! It holds cards and ID's snuggly, but not so snug they are hard to remove from the slots. The trick, I think, is the little silicon/rubber posts the cards slide between. I'm curious to see how long those will hold up over time. I took the rubber band attachment off because I wanted the slimmer profile, plus I just don't have a use for it. My only complaint, is that if I have to carry something that is larger than a credit card, or larger than bills folded in half, it will not fit inside this wallet. And if it doesn't fit inside, it will not close right, or at all depending on what it is. So, if you have to carry a business card or something like that, you'll have to trim it down a bit. But other than that, this is now my EDC wallet. Oh, and one more thing. It is very "springy" when flipping open. What I mean is, hold on to it when you press the latch. I've had mine flip out of my hand twice now and fall to the floor. Luckily, it didn't break and my cards and cash did stay in place! So, thumbs up for that Flip Side! LOL ... show more

*I* was disappointed but you will love it. I got my new flipside 4 today after my first one got washed and dried. Would have survived that but it opened up and the middle card holder broke off as it tumbled in the dryer. Other than that it was in good condition after about 6 years of use and I suspect it could have lasted the rest of my life. My issue is the first one I got the rubber band broke pretty much immediately. Which was no big deal since I don't use it but I thought getting the 4th gen would have some improvements but it looks identical to the first. Nothing seems better or stronger or have design improvements. Not that it needed any. So while I love the wallet, I wish there was something new about it. I do recommend it. I was tired of dirty, rubbed, and even broken credit cards in my traditional leather wallet. Since I got the flipside in 2016 or 17 they have remained good as new. That was worth the money to me right there. Only one downside is I had to switch from carrying my wallet in my back pocket to the front. You don't want to sit on a plastic lump. Really it was a good move for me anyway. Front keeps it safer from theft and falling out. Also, since my dryer incident, maybe if the latch locked it might be a nice touch but then it would have the cool flip I guess. ... show more

Every 6 months with my wallet I had to replace cards I would carry from cracking. I tried a couple of metal wallets from here. The first one didn't even make it through 3 days and was destroyed, the other made it a week. Then I saw this one and really thought that it was a waste but I would give it a try. I am a technician and I build machinery all day long. I finally upgraded from an old fake leather wallet that I had for decades. I like this flipside wallet. I like the fact that I can fit actual cash in it. Other modern wallets seem to have your cash held outside with a clip; which allows it to fall out easily in my opinion. This is the main reason why I chose this flipside wallet. I can close it up and protect my credit cards as well as my cash. I also have the attachment add on that allows me to hold a few coins. My only complaint is that there's no rubber seal so it's not water proof. I also wish the coin addon had a softer interior because the coins will rattle/make noise when I walk. Hopefully they make a new version and fix the small issues. Case needs to be harder. Spring needs to be stronger. Coin pouch addon needs more capacity and rubberized to dampen noise/waterproof it. ... show more

I purchased the first generation FlipSide wallet many years ago and after many years of usage I decided to upgrade to this new style. These are by far the BEST wallet I have ever owned and I can say I would recommend them to anyone. The build quality is excellent, very durable and good looking. I started using my original Flipside wallet in 2014 and it lasted until 2023. I use it every single day. Over the years the case started to get smooth from constant use. I purchased two of these wallets, one for my and one for my wife, sometime around 2010. I don't remember the exact date. I had to replace the rubber band on mine a few years ago, but other than that, mine is still going strong. However, the closing clasp on my wife's finally gave up the ghost after 13 years of constant use and abuse (she overstuffs it.) But hey, if mine is still in perfect shape and hers lasted through 13 years of abuse, that's good enough for me. And yes, being a cyber nerd, I tested the RFID blocking and it works.
