I don't like this as much as my first Kindle. When I charge it, I always get a "moisture in port" warning but there's no moisture whatsoever...it has not been exposed to moisture of any kind. You cannot charge device when that message pops up. You have to restart it and hope you only have to restart once. It's extremely irritating. ... show more

I love the Amazon Kids feature. It's $2.99 a month and allows my kid to have access to tons of age appropiate books, tv shows and movies. I love the parental controls. My only issue is that the Amazon app store isn't as big as Android/Apple app stores. So many times there are some apps, like Discord for example, that we can't access on this tablet. But overall it's pretty great for a young kid. I would not recommend it for a teenager. ... show more

I bought this as I thought I would use it as a regular tablet, but I was not aware of some of the restrictions when it comes to putting apps on it. Also it is a lot heavier than I expected. The overall quality seems good, I do not really care for the layout options and moving between screens.     • Not intuitive to use
While I am overall happy with the Kindle Fire, it was not easy to use, especially trying to access books in my library offline or to stop a large download (of a dictionary) which was using up a lot of data on my Hotspot.

Because the charger is not designed by Amazon you get the warning about slow charge etc. The case is already falling apart. My Old one (case) lasted years not this one! Better off just getting the tablet. But even there... My old one finally died after 3 years. The new one doesn't feel like an upgrade nothing really new about it other than the extra memory slot... ... show more
