Full disclosure, my household is full of skaters. Really good skaters who have been skating our whole lives. So, some of my comments may be unrelated to what most people would see or expect in these skates but keep in mind it's coming from someone who knows skates very well. Okay. Now, where to start. The laces. They are horrible and useless. They are only on there because they look cool, and they will tighten the skate but these laces should never belong on a pair of skates. The tongue. While puffy tongues look very comfortable, and they do make things nice and soft, they really don't belong on skates. Sturdy firm tongues, sure, but puffy gives way too much sponge in the top fit. The outsole. Very cool colors, and nice smooth finish but they scuff easily. Not really a huge complaint of mine, but my daughter was not too happy about it. Oh well, she needs to look at it like a sign of good use. The blades. Oh boy. This one does not sit well with me. It's not the skates fault, or the metal because the blades look to be high quality along with how it's attached, but they come pre sharpened. Whoever is in charge of the factory part where they sharpen them have no idea about skates. It's a very crude sharpening, and I had to go over each blade about 20 times to get a 5/8" hollow. It's like they had a very deep hollow, like 1/32 which is crazy deep and unheard of in skates, and the "trench" was very rough and unfinished. I really don't mind sharpening skates when I get them since I have my own machine, and I believe all skates should be sharpened when new no matter what, but don't put a crazy grind on it where I have to use a whole grinding wheel to fix it. While I have my comments and opinions, overall they are very decent skates. Especially for beginners. Unless you skate professionally you really can't go wrong with them. They are well built and comfortable, and have a very good firmness to side flex ratio. ... show more

these fit my teen daughter perfect. they're nice and tight with great ankle support. the employee at the ice rink stated that they were already sharpened when i took them to get sharpened, but he said they weren't sharpened right. i know nothing about sharpening these, but he was able to fix the blades fairly easily. i didn't really like the guard for the blades so we ended up replacing them. ... show more

These fit exactly as shown in the chart, which seems to be extraordinary lately. My only issues with these skates are that they're wicked stiff, but that will soften in time, and that i think they should come with a more substantial and better fitting blade guard. You'll absolutely need to get a new blade guard for these because the ones that come with them are thin and fall right off. Apart from that, the construction is really solid and the blades make for a smooth glide. I am pleasantly surprised by these boots. I love ice skating but only have hockey skates. I work at a rink so I have access to a skate sharpener and other supplies so I upgraded the laces and got my own guards. It is great that they came with a little protector for the blade but I like to store my skates with a soft blade cover. Once they were sharpened they felt good to skate on but I don't think they're a huge leap from our rentals, which are comfortable. ... show more

These are very well made, fit well, and are very pretty in the matte white. My wife wears a size 7, and the 7 fits perfectly. The first thing my daughter noticed when trying on these skates was how soft and warm the liner was on the boots. She is excited to give them a shot out on the ice this winter and I know that with the thick insulation that her feet will stay warm and protected at the outdoor or indoor rink. The outer boot seems to be well made and looks very good in the classic white. The blades did come from the factory sharpened, but weren't as sharp as what I would expect, although I play hockey, so our skates may be a deeper hollow than what's necessary on figure skates. Overall, these are a well-made and durable figure skate that will hopefully give her many years of enjoyment out on the ice. ... show more

I love these simple ice skates…no added bells and whistles, just traditional looking, great quality skates. The blades are sharp and the boots are sturdy. They are true to size, comfortable to wear and well balanced. These almost feel like professional grade ice skates…what a nice find. I recommend.

I ordered and just received my FEETCITY Ice Skates for women, size 9. Its been years since I have skated and can't wait to go to our local year round ice rink down the road. I will post photos but until then I will highlight some features about my new skates> -Shipped quickly! -Packaging is mediocre/ok. Skates in a box, both wrapped in plastic bags. -Blades did come protected with blade plastic guards. NOTE: BLADES ARE SHARP, USE CAUTION! -BLADES look high quality durable stainless steel. -Blades also appear to be well-anchored -Stitching is on point! Looks perfect! -Nice weighted feel and tried them on and they have good BALANCE! -COMFORTABLE -Smooth texture finish on the outside I will share my adventure with an update at a later date from the rink and the skate's performance.
