The cushioning rubber outsole with ECCO FLUIDFORM Technology boosts traction, while the stretchable lining feels soft against the skin. ECCO is a European shoe company founded in Denmark in 1963. Today they own and operate factories throughout Europe and Asia. They produce all the leather used in making Ecco shoes, taking measures to protect the environment at the same time. Their sole aim is to make a comfortable walking shoe.

My normal wear size is 13, and pretty much all of the time the fits are slightly larger than I prefer. So I took a chance and ordered 12.5 - viola: they fit perfectly. I expected they'd be too small. This pair is not the leather version, and so far they feel very comfortable. Longevity?... we shall see. I bought these for my son who has special needs. He wore these without any issues which tells me that they are comfortable. He has a slightly wide foot and I have not seen any marks on his feet. So they would work for someone with a wide foot. For size, he wears an 11 in athletic shoes and after reading reviews I purchased the 10-10 1/2 (44 Euro) a perfect fit. 11-11 1/2 would of been too big. ... show more

They have changed the configuration of the fastener. I.e. the strap just hangs on your foot and you have to push it for it to be secure. All the other models ( I have had 3 pair) the top fastener is secure and all you have to do is pull. I am VERY disappointed. Will not order again,

These ECCO sandals are very well made, and appear to be comfortable. They look great as well. The length is closer to the upper limit of the range, e.g., size 11-11.5 is more like 11.5. The width is on the wider side; maybe a little too wide for people with narrow feet, but should be good for anything from medium to wide or even extra-wide feet. While walking around for half an hour in these sandals, I have not noticed any discomfort or the need for breaking in. They seemed to be great on the foot right out of the box. Also, the construction appears to be sturdy. I cannot tell how long they will last, but it does not look like these sandals are going to fall apart anytime soon. Before this, I bought the Ecco Yucatan offroad sandals. I like everything about it EXCEPT that the strap near the ankle are TOO SHORT, I had difficulty to place the strap onto the velcro. So, I wanted to give Ecco another chance by buying this XTrinsic model and hoped for the best. Voila! The ankle strap is longer. Athough I prefer it to be even longer, i have no difficulty on placing the strap onto the velcro now. I owned sandals of a few other brands. This is one of the best, if not the best. ... show more

My dad wears men’s 8-8.5. This I ordered 7-7.5 after reading other reviews that Ecco sizes tend to be too big and that fit perfectly. I have no doubt that if I had ordered 8-8.5 I would have to return. The sandal meets expectations. It has three adjustable straps and that works well because he is recovering form an orthopedic injury and a skin graft on left foot and straps help him fit the bandage and padding while keeping him comfortable. ... show more

Wow, liked these so much that I bough another pair. Strap adjustment allows for snug fit that I like. Only down side is that some of the straps are a little long and leave a loose end. I cut some of the tabs off and applied super glue to the edge to keep the strap from fraying and unraveling. Be sure to pay attention to the size measuring instructions for a correct fit. My normal shoe size is 11 and my sandal size is 9 to 9-1/2. ... show more

    • Ditch the shoelaces!
These sandals are great for an older fellow who has difficulty putting on laced shoes and tying the shoelaces. The straps are a little on the stiff side, so tend to chaff, but wearing sox for awhile should do the trick. Size is good. His shoe size is 11.5 B, and these fit well.
