The first photo is after 3 uses (one night, the next morning, then again the same night). The second photo is what I struggle with regularly. I have eyelid/under eye dermatitis that gets even worse in the winter, to the point that my skin literally feels like sandpaper. It is red, extremely itchy, sometimes swollen, and it burns. It also feels like leather (lichenification). NOTHING has been able to relieve my symptoms except for this. I've only used it for 24 hours, but I have found instant relief from the pain and intense itch and my skin isn't gritty and flaking off. I'm not clawing at my eyes all day and my skin is saturated in moisture while it's on. I can't provide an opinion on long term results, but I'll be happy if this just provides temporary symptoms for the duration that it is on my skin. Way better than the nightmare I deal with without it. I have severe eczema on my upper lip but I'm afraid if I apply this anywhere other than my eye area it will break me out because of the ingredients. Anyway, the tube is going to last me forever so its really not that pricey at the end of the day, and I can't argue with the results. Highly recommend! ... show more

The 1st time I ordered this Avene Cicalfate+ cream, it was directly from the Avene website and it came shipped with a warm pack. In case you haven't noticed you're not supposed to expose it under 32 Farenheit or 0 celsius. When it's exposed to cold weather the formula separates. Fortunately I read a ton of reviews before ordering it... Anyway, I received the cream in a padded envelope with no heat pack and when I took the tube out of the box you could hear liquid so I knew the formula had separated. When I got back home I put the tube of cream in a ziploc bag (I squeezed out as much air as I could), then put it under the sink with hot water running for about a minute and shook the tube. I put it aside for 5 minutes and then I used it and it was like normal. It might be a lot of hassle for some, but this cream is totally worth it. I have a bad case of contact dermatitis when exposed to certain chemicals in laundry detergent or synthetic fabric; I felt like my neck and face were on fire, itchy, tender and a bit swollen. This cream doesn't help with the itchiness but it does relieve the skin and brings it back to "normal" faster than any other product i've used. I've used other "gentle" face moisturizers after this but I think that my skin is now intolerant to them so I kept using this cream as a the 1st step of my skincare routine and only use other avene moisturizers or Elta brand, otherwise I have flare ups ... show more

I have eczema and lately my fingers have been cracking and skin were very dry. This dry fast and you can tell the difference the following day. They price is a little steep but it work. I was using it daily at the beginning but once my skin were back to normal, I went back to my more affordable lotion/moisturizer. I do use this once every several days.
