I got these for an extended overseas trip last fall and they didn't disappoint, especially for the $30 that they cost me on sale. I've always preferred boat shoes for warmer weather use with the ability to use them in cooler weather with or without socks, and these didn't disappoint. They were slightly tight and stiff at first but quickly loosened up and adapted to my feet, and served me well for days on end of miles of walking around the various places I visited. While not "fancy", they're nice-looking enough for casual but elegant settings where sneakers might stand out. But most of all they're super comfortable and appear to be rugged and likely to last a while. Also great for flights as they easily come off and go back on (just wear socks if you do so!). My shoes were delivered today (July 17, 2023). So far, I noticed that the length (shoe size) is correct but the width is not as wide as I would expect (I ordered the "9 wide", and my usual shoe size is 9D USA) . Based on this pair of shoes only, I would call the width a USA "D" at most, maybe a "C". They are not "E" and certainly not "EE". I double checked the labels on the shoes themselves and they show "9wide". Otherwise, the shoes are as expected. The width feels a little too narrow for my feet, so I am hoping the leather will loosen slightly with normal wear. July 20th update - After three days, the leather has loosened some and the shoes no longer feel “too narrow”. The width is comfortable now. ... show more

My 2 current pairs is getting a bit worn-out so I bought 2 new pairs size 11 wide- tan and dark tan. Great looking boat shoes but they are a little tight, width wise. I had to check both pairs to make sure I received 11 wide. Kind of disappointed at that but wearable.
