When West Marine dropped their superb in-house shoe I went looking for a substitute. This isn't an Sperry top-sider but at half the price it works fine. Sole grips well but isn't razor cut so as they wear they can get slippery. For a street shoe it's great, looks good, comfy and has better arch support than top-siders ever had. Last a long time. The shoe is not uncomfortable, but it's not like a sneaker either - what you might expect from a leather boat shoe. Surprisingly, the shoes runs seriously small. I wear a size 10, sometimes a 9.5. And this size 10 had my toes up against the end of the shoe. I'm going to re-order as a 10.5, but even then I'm worried they might slightly small. ... show more

I like the Dockers Men's Beacon Boat Shoe. They fit as I hoped they would -- I'm still adjusting to buying things online and hoping they will fit as I would like. Whether or not they are "true to size," they are true to my feet. I wear boat shoes every day, and have for over 20 years. These replaced a similar pair, though not Dockers. They are comfortable, and my hope is that I get lots of years of wear out of these. They're good. ... show more

Shoes fit fairly well. Light weight. One was a little off center and the top didn't conform to the way the foot is shaped. Stuck a shoe tree in it to see if that would help fix it.

I have high insteps, so the shoes fit tight and its difficult to slip them on. They'll stretch with normal wear, though. I have found very few shoes that accommodate my instep. These are working as expected, Nd once I get them on, they are very comfortable.

I was searching for slip ons and I missed it that it wasnt. they are ties. The shoe itself is nice but just not what i was expecting. I will keep them though, tie them once and use as a slip on.
