  • These are the best bits I’ve ever used!
Style: 40-Piece Impact Ready Set Pattern Name: Screwdriver Bit Set
I love these bits! I’ve been using the same #2 Phillips bit for a month and not a bit of wear on it. It also fits better than most Phillips bits into the fasteners I’ve used. As for those that are having trouble removing the bits from the case, did you read the simple instructions on the package? Grab the top of bit and pull it up, then straight out. It is actually one of the better bit holders I’ve had in a case. Easy to remove and stay secure in case. ... show more

  • NOT very useable surprisingly...
Style: 45-Piece Screwdriving Set Pattern Name: Screwdriver Bit Set
I cannot believe I am having to say this about a Dewalt product. I am so used to them being about as good as you can get, but I found serious useability issues with this set. The case is good and strong with the usual sliding lock. The problems start out as very minor, but slowly get worse. The case has lots of sharp edges and after a long day working, if your fingers are tender, the case is not too comfortable to use. It also has lots of spaces inside which trap dirt, and worse rain. This speeds up corrosion of the boys inside when you close it up to go off site. The bits themselves are tempered well, and accurately ground. However they seem so determined to stamp them as made in China, and Dewalt, that it is hard to tell if it supposed to be a P1, P2 or P3 type bit and so on. One bit was not marked at all and two were so faint that I practically needed a microscope to read what they were. PLEASE less of the "China" and "Dewalt" I know who you are and where you are made. I am more interested in knowing what size you are. Or stamp them properly at the very least. The bit selection is a bit odd also. Possibly too many P2 bits? Certainly too many S2 bits at they do not wear as quickly and are common mainly in Canada. The arrangement of the bits in my set was odd, with the P3 in with the S series of bits and so on. These are fairly trivial so far, but where it becomes much more of a problem is getting them in and out. Mine will not press back in, as the little black tabs get pressed inside the rest of the holder if you try. You have to slide them back in, and that is not easy as space is cramped. The holders do not even swivel up to make it easier to get them back in. They tessalate into the case, so cannot move. It is even really difficult to get the holders in and out at all, as I don't think they are meant to be tampered with. I am lucky, I had an old blow-molded case from a cheap set of bits I got years ago. So I was able to move them into that as the proper Dewalt case is so unusable. One last problem was that I don't understand the markings on the slotted bits? I am used to them being marked according to the width of the blade, or even a combination of the width and thickness. I ended up with my micrometer trying to make sense of one marked "8" being 6.97mm, pretty much just 1mm more than the one marked "6" , but 1mm less than what I would have thought it should be. If this is how bad quality control is that they cannot even get the size right on plain slotted 1/4" hex bits, then it is worrying about if there are any other nasty suprises that are hiding, waiting to be discovered? ... show more

  • Worth the price of admission just for the magnetic screw holder! 🧲
Style: 40-Piece Impact Ready Set Pattern Name: Screwdriver Bit Set
Lots of little bits I’ll probably never use, but this kit earns it’s salt every time I strap up that magnetic screw holder. The compact carrying case is also A+. Seems durable enough, and fits comfortably in the carrying case which came with my DeWalt compact 20V Max drill/driver. Money well spent.

  • Enters Dewalt!
Style: 40-Piece Impact Ready Set Pattern Name: Screwdriver Bit Set
The batteries for my Craftsman cordless drill stopped holding a charge. I looked all over the internet for a replacement battery and no one makes them anymore. Time for a new cordless drill. I had always been a Craftsman kind of guy, but with Sears and K-Mart going down the toilet, the brand Craftsman has suffered too. They're not half the company they used to be. No innovation, barely any new products; they're just not a leading brand anymore. So I'm left with the unfortunate decision of choosing another favorite brand of tools. Although I do use Stanley measuring tapes and I have one Stanley screwdriver and a bubble level that someone left in my tool box a long time ago; I'd be damn if I'm going to become a full Stanley kind of guy. Enters Dewalt. I got a drill and impact wrench set. Best drill and impact wrench I've ever owned. Those things are small but so powerful and the 20V Max batteries being compatible across the board is very convenient. Dewalt tools feel like they're made to last forever, they're reliable as they come and the company is constantly looking for innovation. Their bits and screw sets are strong, complete and affordable. They also happen to make the DCF899, which happens to be the strangest battery operated impact wrench on the planet; it can unscrew the lug nut out of an 18 wheeler! I just ordered mine; it's on its way. If you hear on the news that someone is going around loosening 18 wheeler lug nuts, you can assume my DCF899 has arrived. ... show more

  • Thankfully Amazon has great customer service and took them back
Style: 14-Piece Drill Bit Set Pattern Name: Screwdriver Bit Set
These bits were junk. Shame on you DeWalt. If you want to save money and have them made in China at least exercise some quality control. These bit were NOT properly heat treated. Drill bits when PROPERLY heat treated break not bend. I bent both 1/8 bits and the 1/4 bit. Thankfully Amazon has great customer service and took them back. I will not buy DeWalt bits again! ... show more

  • This is your final stop.
Style: 14-Piece Drill Bit Set Pattern Name: Screwdriver Bit Set
They work, they help make holes, blah, blah...here's what you really need to know: *** The small bits don't snap! No breaky! *** I've been using the DW1163 and DW1354 sets for three years, and they've gotten much more use than any bits I've used in the past (new, big house, new, big projects). With every other set of bits I've ever owned (probably really cheap bits, honestly), I'd snap one of the smallest bits in the first one or two uses. Every time. With the DeWalts, they just go and go...pilots here, pilots there, drill, drill, drill, baby! ... show more

  • Long term investment.
Style: 14-Piece Drill Bit Set Pattern Name: Screwdriver Bit Set
I work in Aircraft Structural Maintenance, meaning that I live day to day using a drill. At home I expect quite a lot from my tools. These bits stand the test. As long as one practices high pressure slow speed on steel, and high pressure high speed on aluminum, the life expectancy is outstanding! I purchased this set in 2009 and finally am replacing it with the same set now in 2016. That speaks for itself. Side note: if you plan to do a lot of hard steel (stainless) or titanium I would choose cobalt bits (material not brand). ... show more
