I was looking for small brushes to do find details and these are PERFECT!! Multiple brushes come in all different small sizes and it’s absolutely great! So far I’ve had them for a couple months and none of the hairs have fallen off and the head of the brush hasn’t gotten loose yet (considering i use them often). These are some teeny tiny brushes, but they are amazing. I am new to water coloring so I only use stamped images because well I can't draw, some of the stamps have small parts that are hard to color with a regular size water color brush, well these brushes solved that problem really quick and help me stop making a mess and throwing things in the trash. I can get into every little corner with ease most times, some times because the tips are so tiny you can't see where it's going to land for that I couldn't give it a 5 star rating but I would recommend these to anyone looking for a detailed brush, they are extremely handy. ... show more

The first time I bought these I loved them. I loved their precision and the quality seemed top notch with bristles that were very well shaped. None of those terrible strands that stick out to the side! Each one came to a point at the tip of the brush and I gave them 4/5 stars. I docked a star simply bc they didn’t last as long as Id expect (able to complete one adult paint by number) for 5/5 brushes but they were great none the less! The second batch was terrible!! I’ve been buying brushes from Michael’s and actually forgot that I ever bought brushes on Amazon until this most recent purchase and I went to go give a review and I was actually shocked that I had purchased these before and given four out of five stars. These brushes are almost useless this time around I tried cutting off the frayed bristles and we’ll see if I can use them so they’re not complete garbage or I’d give them one out of five this time but definitely not even worth the purchase with this second batch. All that said, It seems to be a gamble as far as the quality you will receive when you buy these! ... show more

I picked up paint by numbers. From the limited interaction I had with those that came with the kit, my frustrations with them, and other people's suggestion on buying better brushes for painting, I thought I'd purchase these ones. Not being an actual artist myself I can't really speak too well to the true qualities of brushes, but I've used them everyday for about a week now, and I like them. Here are some of my impressions - They aren't flimsy like those kit brushes. These do what you want them to do, rather than flinging paint hair by hair over canvas while you are carefully trying to keep the paint within the lines. - They let go of the paint really easily (acrylic) so long as I don't let the paint dry on the brush. I know acrylic is water soluble, but for some reason, cleaning those kit brushes were awfully difficult even when the paint wasn't dry. These don't have that problem. - They have ergonomic triangular handles. For a couple days I had to get used to them; I absolutely love the feature now. - They are rather attractive looking. I know looks don't factor into painting, but it makes the experience so much more the fun. Finally one negative I noticed: If you leave the brushes sitting in your water jar for too long the tips bend over and stay that way. One of the brushes really got bad to a point that it was frustrating to use. BUT It's fixable, as it turns out! Each time I'm done with the brush I don't let it sit. I swoosh the brush around in the water then brush over my hand and cloth, and repeat until they are clean. Then I gently gather the brush hairs with my fingers and leave them sitting out on the desk. A couple days of that and the bend was gone from the brush. I certainly recommend these brushes for those who are looking for better set for their paint-by-number projects. ... show more
