This side table is so cute! I plan to use it indoors only so I am not expecting any chipping or fading. Wish it was a bit taller and a tad bit heavier but, for my purpose, it is absolutely worth the price. If you like the tiki vibe, or are just looking for something different, I highly recommend this purchase. Would make a great plant stand too. ... show more

Read the reviews and still ordered it. Arrived in good condition, looks great. I saw multiple reviews that it chips and saw pics showing as such. So I will be using it carefully and keeping out of the rain and sun and expecting to have to paint any chips in the finish. But I really like it upon arrival! ... show more

The one I received had some stain drips down the front of the face and puddles of stain on the top. My guess is that they did not wipe off the excess stain in time and it dried that way. I think that is why it was also darker than the picture. It never should have been sent out. On the upside if you are looking for something that is a little more primitive looking like you might find on the islands this actually was nice. But it is not what I would call a mate to their other table on Amazon. I had first ordered the Design Toscano DB383075, The Grand Tiki Tongue Sculptural Table and that one is excellent much more detailed and for some reason $20 to $40 cheaper. That one has the wood grain cast into the table where as on the “Teeth” version they try to do a wood grain by streaking the stain. I would heed the warnings from the other reviewers and not leave this table outdoors. There are the same type of bad reviews on paint flaking on the manufactures website as well. I spoke with Toscano’s customer service before I ordered from Amazon to see if they had improved the paint / stain / weather resistance for 2015, they said that they are still doing the finishing the same way. This is a cast resin table and in the heat and the cold it expands and contracts but the paint on the outside does not so it flakes. I have the same problem with several large, cast resin oriental lanterns the paint flakes off in 2’ sheets I assume these would do the same if left outdoors. ... show more
