🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The reviewed skating gloves seem to suit a wide range of users, from young children taking frequent spills on the ice to adults seeking comfortable, if not entirely warm, hand attire. Despite the love many users have for them, attributing to factors like fit, comfort, and style, concerns about durability and warmth may give potential buyers pause. They are particularly praised for their utility in sports requiring hand protection, though they might not suffice in extreme cold without additional layers.

Pros

  • 🧤 Comfortable and smooth, allowing for additional layers if needed
  • 👧 Specially appreciated by young skaters for fit and protection during falls
  • 🖤 Aesthetic appeal; they come in black which is good for matching attire and hiding dirt
  • 🔥 Some reviewers find them warm enough for moderate cold
  • 💨 Quick to dry after getting wet, which is crucial for ice skating

Cons

  • ❄️ May not provide sufficient warmth for some users, necessitating extra layers
  • ✂️ Questions about durability as some experienced tearing after limited use
  • 👋 Fit might be slightly off for some, with reports of fingers being too long or the gloves being too tight
  • 💧 Can get wet, a potential downside for prolonged ice contact

Should I Buy It?

If you're in need of gloves for light to moderate cold conditions, particularly for ice skating or other sports requiring hand protection, these gloves are a good purchase. However, if warmth is your primary concern or you're hard on gloves, you might want to consider options designed for durability and extreme temperatures.

  • Work well for five-year-old skater
Color: Black Size: Youth Small- Toddler
My newly five-year-old skater had passed on her skating mittens to her younger sister and needed something new to wear on the ice. She generally skates 6-10 hours a week, and still has plenty of falls as she's working on her jumps. I decided to look for gloves, and there aren't a whole lot of choices out there for little skaters. These fit her well (youth small - toddler) but she'll get at most a year out of them before we need the bigger size, I'm guessing. They seem sufficiently padded that even when she takes an inadvertent hard fall, she doesn't seem fazed. I love that they are black, so they blend right in with her jacket (and don't show dirt, yay). I think she likes them, but I'm very nervous about her losing them, as they aren't inexpensive. They do get wet after awhile, especially if she spends much time touching the ice, but seem to dry out fairly quickly. We will certainly consider buying the next size up once she is ready for them. ... show more

  • My daughter loves them!
Color: Black Size: Ladies Small/ Medium
She won’t wear anything else on the ice during her practices.

  • Comfortable but not warm at all
Color: Tan Size: Ladies Small/ Medium
I like these a lot for how smooth and comfortable they are, but they do very little at keeping my fingers warm. They are very smooth though so I was able to put another pair of gloves over them

  • Great gloves
Color: Black Size: Ladies Small/ Medium
Very soft yet really warm and they look great even for competition attire (figure skating)

  • Quality could be better
Color: Black Size: Youth Medium/ Large
Quick shipment. Good fit although fingers a tad bit too long, but quality poor. Less than 1 month use, and glove already ripping from seem.

  • Great skating gloves.
Color: Black Size: Ladies Small/ Medium
My daughter is figure skating several times a week and doesn't like being without these gloves. They are her favorite.

  • Nice gloves with padded palms
Color: Black Size: Youth Medium/ Large
I bought these gloves for my daughter who does tumbling in gymnastics. Her gymnastics team does tumbling (back handsprings, flips, etc) in our local parades (on asphalt, which is tough on their hands). I looked for a padded glove and found this pair. She hasn't used them in the parade yet, but we are hopeful that with the padded palms, they'll save her hands from burning by the end of the parades. I will likely add a second pair of gloves on top of these gloves to save the material, as well as, give her more padding. ** Update: My daughter has tried these out during practice on the street. She said that she did have to add the second pair of gloves because her hands still hurt. I had plans to do that anyway to keep the gloves in good shape. As far as the fit, she said they were a bit tight. Since she's worn them now, I can't return them for a bigger size, unfortunately. She is 9 years old and has average-sized hands for a 9-year-old girl. I ordered her the youth medium/large, but she may have needed the adult small. ** ... show more

  • Comfy put poor quality
Color: Black Size: Ladies Small/ Medium
I really like them but they've already started tearing. I only wear them when I'm old skating and uncertain what caused them to tear. I haven't fallen with them on yet but I'm certain the padding provides great support. Since I haven't fallen, I don't know how waterproof they are.
