    • Very Lovely but Not Long Lasting
I loved the scent, it's very similar to Chanel No 5 but it has different added on notes, lacks a few notes, or just places them in a different layer. For example the top notes of L'aimant are the same as Chanel except the Ylang Ylang that No 5 has on the top layer is in the middle of L'aimant. This perfume also lacks the Lily of the valley (one of the 4 notes missing) that No 5 has. Same vibes and similar scent but not exactly like No 5. Not very long lasting. I spray a big spray on my neck and 1 per inner arm, and I think that gives off enough scent. For the price I paid I think it's a good value, it's not overpowering and 3 big spritzes a day won't break the bank as a bottle of Chanel might. I believe it would make a nice gift for someone that loves vintage beauty products. It comes in a pretty bottle, good quality, and it smells close to Chanel. ... show more

I bought this perfume after watching reviews on YouTube so it was a blind buy. I am very pleased! I am a young woman who prefers vintage perfumes over the perfumes that are available today. This is a beautiful floral scent. It may be one of my most favorites that I own now!

    • Feminine and Exciting
This is an old-school fragrance and therefore may not be for everyone, but I purchased it knowing that. I actually could not recall how it smelled (although I'm sure there was a point in time when I knew), but when I sprayed it on, I was enchanted. Bear in mind, I'm a Coty enthusiast from way back -- I still keep a bottle of Emeraude on hand, and scents like L'Origan are classics that will never go out of style. L'Aimant, like these other tried-and-true Coty perfumes, is truly special. It's got a wistful sort of aldehydic character that is soft and feminine while also being forceful in a quiet way. It's not especially powdery, but it's definitely in the sweet and low-key family. I love it although I will add the caveat that this is more of an everyday fragrance than a "dressy" or "occasion" fragrance. For that, you wear something with more oomph and staying power, like Chanel No. 5 or Shalimar or Opium. This is for when you just want to smell good, even if it's to go to the library or the grocery store, or stay at home and read a book. When this bottle is done, I will buy L'Aimant again. Nice price point. Would make a lovely gift for a mature lady in your life. ... show more

    • Just Not Worth It
I know I shouldn't have expected much, but this was a fail, a hard NO! The scent didn't last beyond a few minutes. Every now and again, you can luck up on a cheap fragrance that smells good. This ain't it.
