As someone with an extremely bad back due to a 25' fall , I won't carry a bulky wallet in my back pocket, since the smallest changes in my posture usually result in increased back and leg pain. During the winter months, it's easy to carry my bulky wallet in a coat pocket, but during the summer months, it becomes a problem. So, when I saw this minimalist wallet, I decided to give it a try. Whether eating out or shopping for groceries, I really don't need to carry all the extra stuff that's in my wallet, just my ID, a few bank cards and some cash. This wallet is perfect for carrying those items and I can carry it in my shirt pocket or the side pocket of my pants. The wallet has a pocket in its center that works well for carrying cash, of course, it has been folded in half. This wallet does have a plastic sleeve window that works perfectly for displaying an ID or license. There are multiple sleeves and pockets for credit cards or misc items. One thing that I noticed was that the finger slot, on the opposite side of the window ID sleeve, which was designed to help slide out the top credit card, partially showed my credit cards chip. With the chip partially exposed, the wallet would not offer proper RFID protection for any card in that sleeve. I reversed the card and the chip was barely covered on the outer edge of that sleeve, probably not offering a lot of protection. The other sleeves should be o.k. and offer the proper level of RFID protection. I haven't had time to test the RFID blocking capability of this wallet yet, which I usually do at my banks ATM, since it has the capability of reading the chips in the cards. This wallet visually hits the right features at a very good price. Over all it looks nice and holds the right amount of cards/paper money to be a good minimalist wallet. The only feature that I think is questionable is the RFID blocking. Note, if you have large hands/fingers, minimalist wallets are generally not for you. The smaller size makes the slots tight and you may have issues removing the contents. There are 5 single card slots on each side and 3 multi-card/paper money slots accessed on one of the long ends. The middle paper money slot can comfortably hold 5 bills. It'll fit ten (10) bills, but the wallet starts to significantly thicken. The fabric walls of the middle paper money slot are significantly thicker than the other slots and might be the only one that is truly RFID shielded. (Sorry, I don't have a way to test.) One of the outer card slots has a plastic window and is intended to hold an ID. The plastic window is the single thing I dislike. On every wallet I've owned, the plastic ID window breaks far before the rest of the wallet. The hole at the bottom of one of the other single card slots, put there to help remove that card, in my opinion is unnecessary and another thing that will prematurely fail. The inner construction of this wallet is fabric, while the outer areas are trimmed with a soft feeling leather. I'll say that the leather parts feel nice. The stitching of the edges and trim are really tight and neat. The fabrics might be RFID blocking, but I have a hard time believing the leather is RFID blocking. ... show more

From a design perspective, it's thin and can hold all that I need it to hold. And it's about half the thickness of my trifold wallet. The quality is pretty good considering the price. But I was curious and decided to test the ability to block RFID signals by using an app on my phone (actually two different apps) and the results surprised me. I tested with three different cards using two different apps. For the control, I placed the cards one at a time to the back of my phone (without the wallet) and the apps picked up the signals as expected. Then I tested the wallet by placing one card at a time in each of the card slots, and interestingly, a signal was picked up for each card from each slot (with the exception of the inner-most slot which is for cash). Keep in mind that each time a signal was detected, the wallet was touching the phone (meaning there was some protection). So in order to skim cards with a phone app, a person would have to be physically touching your wallet with their phone, a scenario that would probably be very unlikely. And unless a thief uses a device that emits a much stronger signal, I doubt this would pose a problem since thieves are likely only going to be in close proximity, not touching. I'm no security expert, but in my opinion the wallet does offer some protection for RFID blocking, certainly better than no blocking protection at all. So you'll still want to be careful with your cards and not rely entirely on the wallet to stop thieves. Even though I'm aware of this now, I'm still going to use it as my wallet, but maybe I'll get an RFID blocker card to put in it for extra security. ... show more

This wallet holds what you need and not anything extra. It is well made, slim and looks nice. Would be perfect for those who need to downsize their wallet! Would make a great gift for a young person getting their first driver's license as well.
