I’ve had my Caddytrek on a course four times….three on my hilly favorite course and once on a flat course. There’s definitely a learning curve, but overall I’m pretty happy with it. You need to learn the beeps and what they mean. When you hit the Follow button, you need to be directly in front of the camera. I’ve learned to walk backwards until I see it moving. It doesn’t like side slopes at all unless they’re gentle. The anti tipping algorithm turns the bag uphill before it tips but you have to walk back and sort it out. I found that if I use the cart path as much as possible on hilly holes there’s much less of a problem. I recommend turning around and monitoring during big bumps or transitions from different surfaces, I.E. grass to gravel path. It doesn’t like gravel and will occasionally spin out as one wheel loses traction and it does a wild 360 before stopping. At least it doesn’t tip. Again, overall I’m satisfied as I bought so I would walk more, and the Caddytrek R3 let’s me do that. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I’m not one to leave a negative review, but this thing did not live up to expectation in the slightest. I’ve tried to walk it down the fairway and in my front yard, and it constantly hits me in the back on follow mode. I’d go at a steady pace and it was slowing down then speeding up to catch up with me not stopping until it would hit me. Very displeased. The only thing I can say that does work well is remote control mode but I can get one that does that just as well for a fraction of the price so I’m not giving that too much traction as far as a positive review is concerned. ... show more

I've been a CaddyTrek customer for years now. Started with the original CaddyTrek in 2013, then upgraded to the CaddyTrek R2 in 2018, and now I'm a proud owner of their latest model, the CaddyTrek R3. There weren't many reviews on the R3, however, I trusted in CaddyTrek's products so I wasn't too worried. The R3 is literally a game changer. You don't need to hold a remote anymore to use follow, YAHOO. Another great feature is this one has people avoidance. I took it out to the course yesterday and performed better than i had expected. My course is hilly and had no issues. Hoping they will come out with more accessories. ... show more
