Last summer I picked up two dinky skimboards at a garage sale for $5 a piece. My son and I enjoyed playing on them, but I found them to be quite difficult, as they often would bite the sand and send me flying. After one of them became delaminated this summer, we decided to purchase the largest of these BPS boards - what a difference! Despite the board saying 150lbs, I have had no problem gliding along the surf with them, and my 9 year old son LOVES the board. Super fun! My oldest makes it work fabulous, he's 1258lbs. For the rest of us it was harder, however my other sons 150lbs and 180lbs still had fun although the results were not as amazing as for our oldest.

These boards held up really well compared to ones you can buy locally at the beach. They also worked better than those models. The best part was the foam grip on the top on the board. This prevented any slipping when jumping on. We took this model to the beach and rode them for about 4 or 5 hrs each day for a week. It do show some minor wear from going over some shells but this is expected. I highly recommend these boards, well worth the money! ... show more

Since they are going to be birthday presents to my grandsons they haven't been used yet. They did arrive when promised and in good condition. I received an email from the seller letting me know that there would be information packaged with the skimboards about registering them for a guarantee. There was also a PDF document that provided information on using the boards as well as how to do a few tricks. I thought this was a nice touch. I would purchase these items again. ... show more

First, i am a stickler for taking care of things we dont leave things in the hot sun I store stuff in the garage. After a year of not even regular use this is what our board looks like. Supper sad.
