  • Really stiff - Old school double back buckles
Bought this for climbing tower facilitation and repairs. Was really stiff and never felt I got it tight enough due to the old school double back buckles. Just didn't work for what I wanted it for.

  • Super Comfy
Size: X-Large Color: Tequila Gold
I work on chimneys and need a comfy harness. This is great because I can hang my drills and hammers ect off the harness. Has a loop In the back and one off the side. Order the harness larger than normal. Lots of adjustment but it does run a little small due to it’s made in the UK.

  • Great value. Read the reviews before selecting a size!!!
Good, comfortable harness for the price. I bought this for recreation and for the occasional tree climbing work I do at home/for friends/relatives. If I planned to do a full time job or a side job cutting trees, I would have invested in a more expensive harness that would be quicker to put on / take off. Pros: Comfortable when wearing and also when hanging/suspended from a rope. Good range of motion. Cons: No snap-buckles / quick-connects, so it takes some time to get on and off. DON'T GO BY THE SIZING CHART!!! Read the reviews before selecting a size! The size chart put me in a Medium harness based on my pants size (Men's 34-36), but after reading the reviews I bought the large. I'm so glad I did! Even in the Large size harness, I had to cinch it up pretty tight to try and get the 8 centimeters (3 inches) of excess strap outside the buckle that the instructions require. I have thick quads/hams, so I adjusted the leg loops out as much as possible. There was not enough excess to tuck into the strap loops that are there to keep everything nice and neat. I think if the manufacturer would make the adjustment straps 1 inch or 1.5 inch longer, it would be perfect. ... show more

  • comfortable. many loops. very few complaints.
Size: Small Color: Tequila Gold
very comfortable harness. I recommend it for those who set routes the hard way. I am very skinny, but this particular harness in size small is considerably smaller than other harnesses I've used (including other BD's as well). Maybe its the padding and thicker construction. The little slots to tuck away excess straps from the waist and leg loops is nice, but the slack I have doesn't ever reach them (there's several inches of space between the first and 2nd leg slots). I would like to see them stitched a little closer to the buckles. I just threw some thick rubber bands on there and made my own, since I dislike even the tiniest bit of straps flapping. I like the bomber gear loops. I wish they stuck out just a tad more, they can be hard to hook if you're wearing anything even slightly fluffy. also not a big fan of gold. personal taste. would like to see other color options. ... show more

  • Can you say comfort?
First Impressions: Well, as its name says, and as you can see in this picture, its BIG. But its really not all that heavy. If you're a minimalist and trying to trim the oz. off your gear, then it may put you off, but for those that are going to be hanging for a long time, the comfort this offers may be worth the few extra oz. Pros: The number one thing this harness has going for it is its comfort. The big pad in the back and wide leg straps make this thing almost a pleasure to sit in. In my capacity as a search and rescuer, long training hangs make comfort an important factor. Besides comfort, its got two full strength belay loops and a full strength haul loop off the back. Also equipped with plenty of places to hang all your gear. Cons: Slightly more expensive than your normal harness, if you find it on sale, it helps. But you should be able to find it for $90 with out too much work. And of course, weight, but if you're bringing rescue gear or just a lot of cams and nuts, then you're probably not going to notice it... and don't misread the weight issue, we're only talking a few oz here, not pounds. For most people, they probably wont even notice. Overall: If you like comfort and a full featured belaying harness, this is the one for you. ... show more

  • Phenominal harness!
This harness is VERY heavy duty. Definitely set up for alpine use, NOT gym use. I have a couple of Petzels (Corax being one of them) I use for the gym and they are awesome for that application. This thing is very well padded and I love the size of the leg straps. They are much wider than other harnesses which makes it much more comfortable when you are hanging for longer periods of time. The second belay loop is super handy as well. I connect my rappel rig to one and my auto block from the other and it works great. It also has a ton of rack space for all your crap as well. Well worth the extra $$ for this thing. Like other reviewers have stated, I just wish it came in other colors. ... show more

  • Great harness, but...
The new version is slightly different from the picture. The grey "flaps" on the front of the belt now overlap when fastened. This reduces the effective circumference of the belt's "sizing chart measurements". I have a 33/34" waist, and this was too tight. In addition, if the front flaps don't overlap properly, the strap, reinforcement points, and belay loops will be over the right side of your pelvis, rather than centered in the middle. Other than the size, this is a fantastic harness. I replaced the med. with a lg. and it fits beautifully. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • This harness is great in many aspects
This harness is great in many aspects, but expect the sizes to be way too smaller than indicated. I first bought M, the label says it's for 30-33'', I'm 32'' but this was really tight and the belay loop ended always somewhat to the side and not centered. I had to sell that one and ended up buying the large one. So if you are 32 or 33 forget the M size and go for L. ... show more
