Ship time was great (Amazon Prime). However, packing was a joke. A gray plastic bag was shoved into my mail slot. No box, no support, nada. This package was crushed, mushed, and stuffed the entire journey. Not happy. Thankfully no tears or rub spots. Moc is quality all the way. Inside trim meets outer material evenly, no seam gaps or puckers. Seems of better quality- close and tight, no pilling, crushing, matting, or ‘fuzzies’ (light strands) coming off. Outside material is even- no pressure marks, no changing of the grain. Color is even and consistent. (IMHO- hue is spot on for what a moc color should be.) Bottom tread material is nice balance for grip and protection without feeling like you have clod hoppers on. Fit- many other reviews say to order up one size. E.g. - 10.5 order an 11. This is what I did. Here is why- the toe box is narrow. My mocs were too tight (even accounting for eventual leather easing) from the base of the great toe (above the ball of the foot) to the base of the little toe. Especially from each side. If your feet are outside (wider) than a medium, I would not recommend purchasing. Sizing up will not help. Very quality moc, would recommend. Minus one star for shipping method and narrowing issue.     • Breaks fast and no customer service

These shoes WILL break on you, whether it be the laces or stitching in the shoe itself. The customer service from BEARPAW is abysmal as well, they'll just tell you "it's out of warranty", even though it's 4 days old, or just flat out say they will not help you. Please do not buy BEARPAW products, they do not deserve to have customers with customer service like this. ... show more

    • Slipper that wear like a good shoe

After buying a couple pairs of slippers on his own hubby handed me the wheel and I bought these, he Loves them. Like other reviews the first wear was a big snug but not to the point of pain and the next morning they were perfect. I too went up half a size when purchasing. These look good, don't make his feet sweat and provide the rigid sole needed for rocks or tree roots that we have here and there in the yard (woods) which seem to come out of nowhere when taking the dogs out. Anybody thinking they are pricey think of how my hubby bought Two pairs that were losers and money down the drain before I bought these. I knew to buy Bearpaw because the last pair I bought my husband lasted him 3 years of heavy use, they only come off when leaving the house :) ... show more

I've bought three pairs of these slippers now, the first being about two years ago. I loved them, I wore them so much that about a year later they were pretty worn out and I replaced them. I loved that pair as well. So much that I wore them out and had to replace them again just now. This replacement pair is unwearable however. The product has changed, there is significantly less fur padding for the feet, especially in the heel. The right heel at the top is actually essentially devoid of any padding whatsoever, so walking around in them leads my right heel to rub against the leather with every step, and I now have a blister on my heel. Going to need to replace them with something else now, would advise against buying this pair now going forward. ... show more

I like these moccasins. I am happy with the quality. They are well made and comfortable. They are everything I feel a moccasin should be. A few things: -these definitely run small. I am a 10-10.5 depending on the brand so I ordered a 10 and it felt like a 9.5. My toe pushed the tip of the shoe. I sent them back and got an 11. The 11 fits. Once all the fluff packs down they seem only a half size small. -They place the tag right in the middle of your arch. Not sure whose idea that was? It felt awkward on my foot so I had to cut it out. -if you like really fluffy moccasins then these feel great. ... show more

Just received this pair of Bear Paw moccasins. My four-star rating is based primarily on fit and superficial appearance. I will update this review later if quality proves to be other than expected. Superficially, these mocs appear to be well made. There is clearly a left and right shoe, and there is no distortion of the uppers relative to the soles. The stitching appears to be tight. The soles are heavy duty and suitable for limited outdoor use, which is why I selected this particular design. The uppers are a smooth finish rather than a suede; I selected this finish in the hope that it will less likely to pick up stains. Time will tell. The fur lining keep my feet warm. Fit is another matter; it is one of the problems of buying online. I purchased a size 10. (According to Amazon's algorithm for determining shoe size, I should order a 10M.) This moc only comes in a medium width; wide or extra wide is not available. All things being equal, I would normally opt for a 10W or a 10.5M. I wasn't offered those options in this style moc, nor did I notice those options offered in other styles by Bear Paw. I find that the left shoe fits fairly well. The right does not. The right feels cramped in the toes and is loose in the heel. I can't tell if that is a manufacturing defect. I do have a problem finding shoes that fits properly, particularly on my right foot. I am hoping that the leather of the right shoe will stretch somewhat over time and become a better (more comfortable) fit. If you normally require an extra-wide shoe or a half-size, this may not be the shoe for you. Update 01-Apr-2019: I am leaving the 4-star rating unchanged because I do not believe this is a problem with Bear Paw so much as a problem with Amazon's algorithm for suggesting proper shoe size. I find that the right shoe still has not adjusted to my foot. I also now have a problem with the left; my toes are more cramped than I originally thought. As a result, one toe on my left foot has developed a blood blister under the nail. It's not a big deal, and eventually the damaged nail will grow out. Nevertheless, it does highlight the difficulty of getting a proper fit when buying shoes online, particularly in those instances where half-sizes or wide widths are not offered. Update 03-Feb-2021: The leather of the right moc has not stretched as I thought it might. So it’s still a tight fit on the right foot. I recently purchased another pair of the Bear Paw Moc II Slippers in size 11. I was disappointed to find that they fit too loosely, particularly in the heel. Both left and right mocs had a tendency to slip off as I walked about my home. As a result, I had to return them for credit. (BTW, I had no problem with the return process; it went smoothly.) ... show more
