  • All Box Sets should be this well put together!
Nice sturdy storage box. Excellent quality book. Good amount of extra band swag(stickers, patch, etc). This is an excellent package/product...includes pretty much everything you could ask for in an Album Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set. Original Album, B-Sides, Demos, and Out-Takes. Complete live show from the album's tour. Plus Hi-Resolution (96kHz/24bit) DVD and Blu-Ray Audio version of the album. Music Videos + Motorvision from back in the day, and an assortment of other live performances. This is definitely a BADMOTORFINGER ! ... show more

I caved in and bought this. Badmotorfinger was the first cd I bought in 1991, still have the long box. It was worth it, as it's incredible look with amazing content. The live concert DVD is what did me in.

  • Beautifully packaged, excellent sounding, and at a steal of a price.
It's often difficult to find reasonably priced vinyl from the grunge era and beyond, never mind reasonably priced anniversary editions. That said, the 2LP 25th anniversary (not full box set) edition of Badmotorfinger is now one of the gems of my record collection. Comes with a killer holographic poster of the album cover, as well as a breathtaking side 4 etching and mesmerizing inner cover. The outer cover is also extra shiny on the golden wheel. The records themselves are sturdy (and not too sharp) heavyweight vinyl, and the sound is impressively dynamic. The fade in of Searching With My Good Eye Closed begins so quietly my turntable / stereo setup struggles to pick it up for a few seconds. And the loud sections are pummeling without losing clarity in any of the interments. The mp3's that come with the double LP include all of the extra goodies not printed on the wax of this edition but featured on the CDs on the boxset edition (thank you Amazon). With the current sale that's going on it's cheaper to get the auto-rip double LP than it is to buy the mp3s alone! As for their quality, the remaster/remixed sound of the original album on the mp3 is different than on the vinyl records. The mp3's are much more bass boosted and louder overall. This is cool if you'd like Badmotorfinger to sound closer to Superunknown, but it doesn't really hold with the way I'm used to hearing the album from my old CD copy, and it kinda steals some of the magic away. However the LPs are perfectly in line with the sound I expect from this album, and the rest of the mp3s feature a goldmine of bonus tracks, both demos and live cuts, that make the auto-rip worth it in the end. Especially notable is a murderously aggressive version of New Damage featuring Queen's Brian May playing guitar. Altogether for about 22 bucks this is one of the best deals in the world of rock vinyl on Amazon right now. Get it while you still can for this price! ... show more

  • The best Soundgarden album and an amazing Deluxe Edition CD
Every song on this album is amazing, from Rusty Cage to New Damage, and the outtakes and live versions are awesome despite the quality of recordings from the early 90's. As for the artwork, it's very good and feels appropriate considering the album and the sound associated with it. It also came 2 days earlier than expected, so that was a plus. ... show more

Worth the price for the extra disc alone!! Great bunch of songs, that started it all for me.Soundgarden,to me,was the best band to come out of the Seattle scene, and this is the disc that proves it! If you like well-crafted hard rock, then don't pass this one up-Its Great!!! Highly Recommended!!!

  • Cornell and Company at their best. Great bonus material
Cornell and Company at their best. Great bonus material, particularly the live stuff. A reminder, imo, why Soundgarden blew away PJ, Nirvana and the rest of out of Seattle in '91.

  • Great Album, Great Design, and Great Pressing...
This is one of Soundgarden's best albums hands down and this pressing of it is great. I am listening on a Fluance RT81 and everything is well balanced. The package design is top-notch and priced great. Quick delivery and well packaged.
