What’s there not to like, I make a living as a auto mechanic, and it’s so very difficult finding a good quality comfy work shoe, my feet and toes were killing me from my prior work shoes, so I took a chance on these , the minute I put them on as soon as I received them I felt a complete sense of relief, I ordered the 10.5 wide size, the only thing is they were a little to big my heel slides out of the shoe when walking more so on my left shoe, I don’t understand why it does that because I usually wear a size 11 or 10.5 wide other than that no other issues, so I wore them for my ten hour work day no pain all day, also the prior pain from my old shoes went away , I’m just worried a little about my foot can easily slide out as they wear, otherwise these probably are the most comfortable work shoes I have ever had for under $100 ! ... show more

I've been working in food service for less than two years and have gone through roughly six (6) pairs of shoes since then. I'm notoriously tough on shoes, wearing them out before they have a chance to see real use. But this has been the other way around: the shoes have been so uncomfortable that I've been getting rid of them before they break in! I've tried other types of sneaker styles, construction boots, and even kitchen clogs and each one has left me with a sore back, bunions, heel or arch pain, or a combination. But the Avia Anchor has become my new favorite pair! They are wide enough at the toes to allow for toe freedom (other brands seem to enjoy squeezing your foot together for hours at a time), have great cushioning (although I will admit to buying a thicker gel insert after a month), and a tread that simply refuses to get clogged up (several brands nearly had me skating across the floor because the tread would quickly gum up with food particles and offer zero slip resistance). Add to that a quick slip on or off and they are quickly becoming my favorite. The size is perfect, they are easy to wash and I don't catch myself wondering why my feet hurt.     • Doesn't have standard shoelaces

I should have known this prior to purchase, but they don't have standard shoe laces that can be tightened. At first the shoe just felt awkward, like it wasn't fully on even though it was. Since they don't have regular laces, I had to do some awkward knot tying with the elastic rope-like lace to get them to fit, but they're very comfortable now that I got used to them. Everything else is great, I work fast-food and they provide enough support but also are breathable so my feet aren't gross and sweaty at the end of every shift ... show more

I really like this shoe. It's just what I wanted: slip on, ok in wet weather, decent insole, enough arch support, reputable tread/traction. I think this shoe has a rather elegant, Italian design to it -- surprising for a relatively inexpensive shoe. I had read that the insole wasn't good, but I find mine to have plenty of cushion and support. They are removable so a more preferred insole could be substituted. I usually use my own insoles, but have not found the need to do so in the couple of days that I've worn these shoes. They are a snug, but comfy fit in my normal size 8, normal width. I have not had them wet yet, so I did not rate that; nor, have I been on slippery surfaces where I could confirm their highly rated slip resistance. Appear to be well-made for this price range. Wasn’t sure at first about them. I was looking for a nonslip shoe for work that would fit my giant feet (size 16) that also wouldn’t cost me a fortune. I was nervous about these shoes when I got them because the laces cannot be tightened there pretty much just for show but they fit pretty good and don’t feel as if they are going to fall off. At this point I’ve been wearing them for about three months and they have held up ok. The bottom of the inside of the shoes has a padding that is starting to peel off a bit and there’s a seam on the inside by my toes that sometimes pokes a bit but nothing that makes them hurt to much to wear. For a cheep pair of work shoes they will do the job. Oh and the nonslip works great have had zero issues there and the fabric of the shoe makes them very breathable. ... show more
