I really like this shoe. It's just what I wanted: slip on, ok in wet weather, decent insole, enough arch support, reputable tread/traction. I think this shoe has a rather elegant, Italian design to it -- surprising for a relatively inexpensive shoe. I had read that the insole wasn't good, but I find mine to have plenty of cushion and support. They are removable so a more preferred insole could be substituted. I usually use my own insoles, but have not found the need to do so in the couple of days that I've worn these shoes. They are a snug, but comfy fit in my normal size 8, normal width. I have not had them wet yet, so I did not rate that; nor, have I been on slippery surfaces where I could confirm their highly rated slip resistance. Appear to be well-made for this price range. I will update if it becomes abnormal.

Wasn’t sure at first about them. I was looking for a nonslip shoe for work that would fit my giant feet (size 16) that also wouldn’t cost me a fortune. I was nervous about these shoes when I got them because the laces cannot be tightened there pretty much just for show but they fit pretty good and don’t feel as if they are going to fall off. At this point I’ve been wearing them for about three months and they have held up ok. The bottom of the inside of the shoes has a padding that is starting to peel off a bit and there’s a seam on the inside by my toes that sometimes pokes a bit but nothing that makes them hurt to much to wear. For a cheep pair of work shoes they will do the job. Oh and the nonslip works great have had zero issues there and the fabric of the shoe makes them very breathable.

I bought these for work in my pizza restaurant job. Today was my first day putting them to the test. I have to say usually I’d be slipping all over the wet floors but with these shoes I didn’t slip at all! I do have to say the size is perfect. I usually buy size 11 shoes and I got the 10.5 wide and they fit perfectly! The comfort in these shoes are awesome! The memory foam in the soles help your feet not get so sore after walking and standing in them for hours. I am going to buy a 2nd pair soon!

Lightweight, comfortable, not as sturdy as some cook footwear, so if you job requires you to do a lot of moving around, these might not be the shoe for you. But, if you job is slow paced, casual, there isn't a better choice. And the price is good!

I only just received these so time will tell just how good they are, but I’ve gotta say, off the bat they’re excellent! I bought a 1/2 size down as advised by other reviews (thanks all!) but I did go with the wide option and they fit perfectly and are incredibly comfortable without breaking them in at all. I got them for a new job that requires slip resistant shoes and for me to be on my feet all day long, so they’ll be put to the test quickly, but I’m very confident with the first impression so I’m happy so far especially for the price and the fact that I ordered them in the morning and received them before dinner. It’s a notable brand, not some random company that probably won’t exist in a month, so again I’m confident 👍.

I bought these for someone who had a stroke and couldn’t put shoes on without help. These after some practice he is able to get on and off by himself. I had to get the width so he had wiggle room to maneuver the way he gets into them.

I have been a Chef for 20years. Have almost always worn Birkenstock “Bostons” . As I age I have started to feel it in my knees. I never thought I would switch to a shoe like this but decided to take the plunge. The shoes are very comfortable and have nuce arch support. Only thing I would say is they are not True to size. I have never bought Avia Shoes before so maybe thats just how they size my suggestion is to size a 1/2 size down if you are buying for yourself. Only reason for 4 star is the sizing issue. Other than that its a 5 Star shoe.
