The item comes very well packaged with custom fit foam inserts to protect everything. So well, in fact that I think that the original packaging is the best way to store it when not in use. The package contains everything you need to get the rotary unit operational. All of the parts (not very many), all of the hardware and instructions. I installed this on my Ortur Laser Master 2 and it worked great. The instructions were relatively simple with one exception. They stated that the cable with white connectors was for an ATEZR engraver, but the cable with black connectors had the following caption: “Apply to engravers with different wire order of the Y axis motor“ which I found imprecise. I did not know if my laser engraver had a different “wire order of the Y access” or not, and I could not find any information anywhere on ATEZR’s website. Only by scouring YouTube was I able to find out that the black ended cable is basically for any engraver that is not made by ATEZR. Once I got that figured out, the installation was dead easy. The leg extensions are made specifically to fit onto the bottom of an ATEZR engraver, but I was able to attach it onto my Ortur by using some M5 T-nuts, which worked with the included M5 bolts. Once I got everything installed and set up, I ran a test on a pop can wrapped with masking tape. Since I have no experience with laser rotary tools I did not want to risk damaging a nice tumbler. After referencing several sources for information, I was able to set up Lightburn for use with a rotary tool. The settings I used were 15.86 mm roller diameter and 50 mm per rotation. These settings made the cuts, were very precise and worked very well. I started out by etching a line around the circumference to make sure that I had the right values entered (see pics). When that was successful, I went ahead and cut an image into the tape (see pics). I was extremely pleased with the results. Nice product when it keeps USB connection, stopped many times in the midst of a burn homing lost is position so I am never able to finish where it stopped, I am returning it, so sad, Customer service is extreme slow on communications. I am trying to upgrade my workshop so I can engrave on items other than flats. I set this up with my xTool. There is a steep learning curve to it, at least for my brain, and I did have to scrap a few blanks so make sure to test it on low cost items, or items that have been rendered not sellable from other testing, to get your technique dialed in. The motion was smooth and consistent and the build quality was good by my standards. No real noise to speak of or other distractions or annoyances. Depending on your engraver, you may or may not have compatibility issues, there are just so many hardware and software variables. Do your homework before dropping a lot of money on an attachment to make sure this will work for your application before committing to it. ... show more

This is a decent rotary roller, it is simple to get set up. The directions are simple to follow and it came securely packaged and undamaged. It does offer 360 rotation and it makes laser engraving surfaces easier. Definitely a must have. Jus the sure to check compatibility.
