Description

The GEL-EXCITE 9 shoe is a comfortable trainer for the casual fitness runner. Thanks to its engineered jacquard mesh upper, this material increases airflow while creating a softer feel against your foot. A combination of AMPLIFOAM cushioning and GEL technology are placed in the midsole. These features provide better impact absorption with a more forgiving landing at footstrike.

These shoes are so colorful and light. I just love them for running on my treadmill!♡ I usually purchase Asics Gel Kayano, but decided to give these a try because of the cost and color scheme. :) When you are accustomed to paying $150 every year for a new pair, $50 is a screaming deal and the reviews are great as well! I ALWAYS read the reviews before I buy. I usually wear a 7.5, but take an 8 in all Asics for the toe box, so I purchased an 8 and they fit great! While I'm sad that the Gel Kayano has changed in design, I stick with Asics because they easily fit my D/green Superfeet and never give me heel blisters while running. I’ve been wearing ASICS for 15+ years. PRO: These are lightweight but feel sturdy and have good arch support (which other lightweight shoes don’t seem to have). CON: The back of the shoe protrudes forward causing discomfort on my Achilles tendon region. I’ve never had this issue with other ASICS and it didn’t improve after breaking them in (still get blisters). I ended up buying athletic cushioned socks so I could wear these.     • Beautiful functional shoes, but too narrow for me

I have purchased several pairs of Asics over the last few years without any issues. This pair was a lovely rose color and were well made. When I went to put them on, the upper part of the shoes where the laces go in, was so stiff and tight that I almost had to take the laces completely out to get them on my foot. When I did get my foot in, the pain on the top of my foot was excruciating. I had to send them back. They were apparently a narrow size and it wasn't indicated (or I didn't see anything on it) when I purchased them. If they had them in a wider size and a LESS stiff upper, I would certainly try them again. I love Asics support and style. ... show more

I have always bought Asics for running. I bought these because I wanted a lightweight walking shoe for traveling - specifically a black runner with a white sole. They look good and are ok, but they don’t feel like an ASICS.

I have worn Excite 7 for a few years at the direction of my orthopedic therapist. The 7s are harder to find now so I bought the 9. It is very comfortable. It is a little roomier in the toe area. I'm very happy.

This is my first time buying Asics athletic shoes.. Upin finding that it is a little bit cheaper in Amazon, I decided to buy it. When I received it I tried it on immediately and boy..oh...boy...!!! I LOVE LOVE HOW IT "HUGS" MY FEET & IT IS Soooo LIGHTWEIGHT..! I have bilateral neuropathy & plantar fascitis and there are certain shoes that my feet cannot stand wearing... if it doesn't feel good & it is PAINFUL then I return it right away.! I have feet flat like a duck. So I must be picky with sneakers so I don't have to place my custom orthotic soles inside which can make sneakers very uncomfortable. I love these sneakers and bought four pairs! They are lightweight with perfect cushioning (I need super cushioning) for me.
