I had been a big fan of using a Remo MUFFL on the batter head behind a clear Ambassador, but I decided to to try one of these heads with the muffle integrated, and I've got to say, it's a killer batter head. I used it as a fresh head for a studio session, and the engineer and band all remarked on how incredible the kick sounded. Can't get a better recommendation and approval than that!

I love this head! I had a Remo EMAD on before, and even with the dampening ring on there, I had to use a towel inside. Not so any more. I've got it tuned just tight enough to give me some feedback, and it sounds incredible. Lots of loud, big, low end but not so much boom that it overwhelms the initial punch. I would recommend this to anyone playing live. My only complaint is that I got sent a slightly warped head; it probably sat in a UPS truck for a while before getting to me.
