I have had this case for just under two months. Yesterday I noticed a little crumb of silicone missing from the bottom corner of the case, which must have occurred during very normal use. Today I dropped my phone a few feet onto a wood floor and the top corner of the phone popped out of the case, taking a big chunk of silicone with it. The phone is fine, but will the case protect it in future falls? This was my first time buying an Apple-brand case, because previous models didn't wrap all the way around and I didn't trust that they would protect if a fall hit the bottom of the phone, but I expected this new model to be high-quality especially given the price. Now I think I need to go back to other case brands, which have always been both durable and protective in my over 10 years of owning iPhones. I'm very frustrated that something that costs $49 doesn't last two months. Until the case started falling apart I was very happy with it, because it's comfortable to hold and the buttons are easy to press. ... show more

Trying and testing many cases for the iPhone 12 I find this one to be okay at best. It has decent tactility but catches lint way too quick. Besides the animation you receive this case is not different from a $3 eBay option from China. My major gripe with this case (no pun intended) is how easily the phone slips out of the case, exposing corners and shimmer of the stainless steel (pro). Taking into account the price of this case and what you are receiving, the price point is way too much for the value you are getting. You can spend a fraction of the price and obtain a similar experience minus an animation or apple logo. At first, I LOVED the feel and touch of this case. It feels like baby skin. But after using it for a day, I'm going to return it. It's MUCH too slippery. Also, fabric sticks to it, leaving it with lint and looking nasty (see picture). Really disappointed, frankly.

Junk, the edges are breaking off. Apple is giving me the run around to replace under warranty. Pretty sure they know their case is junk and don’t want to keep replacing so their strategy is to constantly transfer to someone else and then disconnect the phone call. I am very careful with my phone but for some reason Apple decided to put sharpe edges on the 12 so it literally cuts the case. And they won’t stand behind their product. I am losing respect for them. We have had other companies replace items that cost a fraction of the price without questions because they care. Apple is making plenty of money on a silicone case to replace it if it tears apart in less than two months. We will be shying away from any Apple accessories. For this price you can buy 3 cases that will probably each last 3 times as long. ... show more

This case does not hold iPhone at around the screen edges. If the phone falls, the case easily allows phone edges to get out and be scraped by the fall. This is epic fail by Apple design team. The case does not grip/hold this iPhone 12/12 Pro at the edges. It is loose and phone easily slips out of the case edges. Honestly, this phone needs a case. I haven’t used a case on my phone in years, but I switched to iPhone this generation from the Pixel line. This new iPhone is just unpleasant to hold. It hurts.
