  • I'm giving it all she's got captain!

Bought for my 2018 chevy trax. Factory turbo bit the dust at 85k miles. Just got this new one installed as of yesterday. However car seems to be doing well. To explain my old tubo would work in city however during highway conditions or under load the turbo would begin to seize. When this started to happen I noticed an increase power during city speeds and a reduction of power on highway. After replacing the charged air cooler like dealership advised it still didn't correct and car was getting an underboost condition. However right after installation of this turbo the check engine light for underfoot went away and correct power for both city and highway was observed. Compared to the factory oem turbo this was a near identical part. I am hopeful that this will hold up. If I have any issues as of recent installation will update with more feedback. Update: oct 29 2020, drove to Oklahoma and back to Oregon. Had no problems since install. I have filled a small trailer and still no problems already have put 12k miles on this turbo and it seems to be holding up. ... show more

  • Great Price

I bought to replace my turbo boost in my Chevy Cruz. The price was lower that the auto stores around in my area. The mechanic had no issues with the part and I haven't had any issues with the turbo boost since it was replaced,

  • vehical has been loosing coolant.

It has been almost a year chasing a coolant lose. after replaceing head gasket and now installing new head, found out coolant is leaking from turbo into intake system. what a waste of time and money!

  • Poor packaging but seems to work fine
Style: 667-203
Turbo arrived damaged. Packaging is not quite good enough to hold up to the way package handlers throw stuff around. I figured I’d just try to fix it rather than deal with returning it. I was able to reshape the damage part good enough to make it work. Not bad to install and seems to be working fine. ... show more

  • It works, not limping
Style: 667-203
Few things you should know if you attempt this on your own. Make sure you get another oil return pipe and exhaust manifold nuts. The nuts are like $8 a piece from the dealer and you will need 8. Order ahead of time from Amazon because the repair manual says not to reuse. The oil return pipe on your car may break so be prepared by getting it ahead of time. That pipe may be the hardest thing to get off. It’s easier to move the clip and slide the pipe from out of the oil pan instead of trying to unscrew. So far so good! We now have turbo again. As you can see from the picture, the housing was cracked, and the arm did not open and close as it should. It was actually stuck when I checked it after removing the turbo. The new turbo has a spring feel for opening and closing the wastegate as it should. ... show more

  • It worked!
Style: 667-203
I was skeptical to begin with about buying aftermarket ... I figured I would take a chance considering the stock turbo failed at 75k.... if that’s all I can expect from a car we bought brand new, I figured I didn’t have a lot to really risk. So I purchased this and installed it myself. I have had it on the car for a few months now and it seems to be holding up fine. I have traveled out of state a few times and this is a daily driver . All the codes and check engine lights are off. The car has good power and performs nicely. I did purchase the oil feed line at the same time. I am glad that I did some research, as my original line was clogged and wasn’t supplying oil to the turbo. So if you have a turbo that needs to be replaced this may be a good option for you . ... show more

  • Failed after 10 minutes of driving
Style: 667-203
I installed this on my cruze, I unplugged the coil pack and cycled the key for about a minute to make sure it had oil. I plugged it back in and started it and let it run for 5-10 minutes and it was perfect. I drove it around for maybe 10-15 minutes and then it failed. It sounds like a bearing went out. I undid the oil feed line to make sure it's getting oil, and it is. ... show more
