So, these actually do have a nasty smell but Im not picky and my German Shepard loves them so he gets what he likes. I'd buy these again since no one really complains about the smell. My 48 lb lab/pit bull mix has been chewing away on this bully stick for over half an hour and still at it. He loves them. The scent is normal for a bullystick and if you don’t like bullystick odor then buy the ones with no odor and spend more money. Happy dog. Happy life.

I have a German Shepherd and an American Pitbull Terrier, both are heavy chewers and boy the do love to chew. They have done the undoable, killed a stand of bamboo. I have horns and antlers for them to chew on but wanted something for a special treat to chew on that wouldn't require surgery on down the road. These are perfect. They are natural, not hide that is harder to digest than bubble gum, and they love them. My dog loves bully sticks, I gave her one of these and it took her days to chew it and now she don't even want them. I don't know if they are too hard to chew for her as they do seem tougher and wider than brands I have bought in the past or if she just doesn't like the taste. She used to get so excited about bully sticks, but when I give her one of these she is not interested. Now I am stuck with a whole bag, minus one.
