I have a freeze dryer and use these regularly. These are a great size for much of my packaging! (I have smaller ones for my little bitty bags) If you are Storing foods, you need to keep the oxygen out. Once you Open the pack, these are done... But, for long term... You Def need them! I have started repackaging my dry good... Beans, rice, etc... using these sucks the oxygen out of the bag, so IF there were any bugs/eggs, they'd be dead... So, works for Me! Yes O2 is about 20% of air. These are fake though or just very inaccurate. These are much smaller than any comparison. That is why they are so much cheaper than any competitors. This is a waste of money, unless you just want your customers to think you care about freshness. I unfortunately have been buying these, but I was always suspicious about the price. I had thought I just caught a sale. No they are always priced that way. They are about 1/3 the size of a competitor. They probably absorb about that same amount of O2. ... show more

I'm suspicious of the size so I've been doubling up just in case. I wish they had an oxygen sensor tab thing with them, but I realized I could use one from another brand and see it go from blue to pink so they're good, despite being initially worried with how they felt (more firm) compared to other brands. I've only had these for a few days, so I can't say anything about how well they work in the long run. However, they seem fresh and viable and I love how they are packaged in smaller groups so that I don't have to expose the whole batch to the air when I only need a few packets.

These worked pretty great. I got some in a different product and it wasn’t sucking in the Mylar bags like I thought, but when I bought these, these sucked in the bag.
